Homewood Suites by Hilton Corpus Christi

Before arrival we received an email informing us the ac was not working in our room which made us very worried since our stay was non refundable. Thankfully it was working when we arrived the next day!
The carpet part of the floor in our room was extremely sticky, the bathroom/wash area floor was horrible there was a visible film where it is “mopped” and where it is not. The hide away couch looked like it had been threw out and someone brought it back inside and many stains and white paint looking splatters on it !
I unfortunately had to keep asking for more towels each day. they would only give us two even tho there was four guest staying in the room.
Many little things that could be fixed.

The a/c didn’t work (we had a cooling unit that actually worked great), so everything was stuffy on our floor. If we had a second cooling unit for the other side of the suite, it would have been much better. Ended up having to share a bed and lose personal space, which was the point to the suite. (I asked for a second unit but they did not have one. They did agree to comp my daily parking fees to make up for it though)

Carpet was dirty, made the bottom of my feet dirty in the room, so I just kept my slides on.

Also, didn’t like that the back door to the hotel was unlocked (faulty mechanism), so anyone could come and go. I still felt safe though!

During our stay we experienced:
• Multiple dysfunctional rooms
• Mold and odor concerns
• Insects in the room and bedding area
• Broken appliances and phones
• Repeated key card failures
• Missing room essentials
• Inconsistent housekeeping support
• Poor communication and lack of urgency from staff
• Significant stress, discomfort, and disruption throughout the stay

This experience fell far below the standards expected from a Hilton property and was, without question, the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

Our room was at the back of the hotel, which was fine, but the back 2 doors after a certain time were closed, and the key card didn't work. So it was a long walk. And there was a light shining on the building but it was shining right at our bedroom window and even with blinds closed you could still ever So slightly see it. Also we were in corpus christi but not like on the beach.. didnt understand why we had to pay to park.

The AC vents look very dirty and I always look at that because I have allergies and that can create mold really easy if they don’t have proper maintenance but everything else was fine. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. The toilet paper was almost out it’s just a detail but things that I noticed. We only spent 1 night so it was fine.

I didn't like the additional fees, the 50 dollar holding fee was silly and an additional 14 dollar parking fee. We're already paying so much I don't understand the parking fee. The floors in the room were very dirty. I was really upset at how snooty the front desk receptionist (Miranda) was, hopefully she can be more welcoming to other guests.

the morning lady curly hair she was very rude when we checked in and she had to check us out as well and maybe said 2 words the whole time the room had hair on the shampoo bottles provided in the room and the couch has seen better days the reeom is very outdated to say the least

Floors in the rooms were not clean, carpets were disgusting, we had to wash feet if we went barefoot. Sofa bed was old and mattress was so uncomfortable. So disappointed hot tub was out of service, wish I was told before I reserved hotel.

No mention of parking when we checked in . It would’ve been nice if she mentioned what
