Ok visit
Pros:

A mixed experience. Reception staff very welcoming and professional. Room clean and perfectly adequate. However there were a lot of 'tired' areas around the hotel that just need a good clean to be honest. Even in restaurant, some tables were shabby and just lacking in care. For example bits of food on the floor and wobbly tables. Restaurant staff fine but not in a hurry to take orders and a little too laid back like they didn'treally want to be there. Breakfast staff more on the ball. Food itself was again fine but nothing special, also noticed 10% service charge automatically added. This may sound a picky review but having been to many hotels don't underestimate the power of consistent customer service and keeping everywhere fresh and clean.

Great staff
Pros:

Stayed here for 3 days as I have in the past everything was perfect facilities and room, bar and restaurant staff were brilliant; Connor, ray, alice and the girl who is new sorry didn’t catch her name.

Perfect afternoon tea 🫶!
Pros:

Had a beautiful afternoon tea here today, loved the selection of pastries, cakes & sandwiches. A lovely lady named Rose looked after us , she was so friendly and helpful 🥰 we will definitely be coming back again we loved it !

Amazing golf location
Pros:

Really nice place, 18 of us stayed for a golf trip. Had quite a few issues with bills and still chasing part of a refund 4 weeks later. But definitely an amazing place and recommend it for a golf or spa weekend

Great service and food in the restaurant
Pros:

Just joined the golf club and gym as we live locally.

Been very impressed but particularly with the restaurant where we celebrated my Mum’s 98th birthday.

Rose the waitress couldn’t do enough for my Mum and really made her day. Mum absolutely loved the delicious afternoon tea.

We’ve since been back for breakfast which was great too and were again looked after very well by Rachel.

Would highly recommend the restaurant which is in lovely surroundings too especially on a summers day with great outside space.

Poor Service For Our Dad's Funeral Wake
Pros:

Poor Funeral Wake Experience.

I say this as we had requested a table was reserved for the family, yet we returned from the family only cemetery burial to find no table had been reserved.

We also asked for background music yet none was played.

Whilst the food was nice it wasn't replaced timely to ensure all our family and friends who had attended our lovely Dad's funeral had Plentiful food supply including dessert.

The coat was premium however the service was definitely not.

Such a shame as the food I tasted was really good and the room size and the view were perfect.

Was an ok stay for the price.

Room located on first floor
Asked if ground floor was available unfortunately wasn't.
Didn't have lot of choice of beer at bar ran out of a lot.
Restaurant seemed to have had an upgrade but chairs need replacing looked tatty.
Ordered breakfast to ve delived to room put card on door handle night before.
Never arrived.

Fantastic experience
Pros:

Visited here last year and it was ok. Stayed this weekend and WOW, what an incredible experience! The rooms are nice, spacious and very clean. Views from the outdoor bar space overlooking the golf course are stunning.
Food in the restaurant was delicious, and despite it being busy - there was clearly a wedding taking place over the weekend; this did not effect the service whatsoever. This is clearly what sets this place apart as the team were so attentive and helpful.
We will definitely be returning only next time ill be wanting to try the golf course!
