Amazing and picturesque! The rooms were beautiful and the outside area was so lovely! The staff were very accommodating and set the room up nicely for a birthday celebration!
No grab bar in bath.
Clean, neat, modern
Nothing but the mymusic near all the seating was a bit much. Couldn’t escape it
The location is stunning and the rooms have a lovely rustic feel to them. The spa bath was lovely and the food was amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do anymore for you to make your stay perfect.
Our room didn't have Aircon and the fan was quite loud but we needed it on and there were just a few little parts of the room that could do with a touch up but nothing major. They had a Bluetooth speaker system that didn't work and the chair in the room was quite scuffed
We were lucky that the weather was really warm, so we had our dinner outside. The food and the service were excellent!
Lovely place with lovely grounds. A superb place to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Nice comfortable room in a peaceful location with good facilities
Speakers didn't work in the room
Peaceful and tranquil.
A stunning setting in beautiful grounds.
An incredible building with a perfect blend of old and new.
There’s nothing we didn’t like
Nice room, nice staff, nice setting, nice grounds.
The blinds in our room had problems. We told Manager on leaving, so will most likely get sorted.
It's always a pleasure to return to The Oaksmere for special family occasions, this time for my mother's 83rd birthday.
The staff are incredibly helpful with meeting my parents needs for accessible accommodation and dining, helping to take bags to the room, arranging tables in the restaurant etc. as well as providing extras like a birthday balloon and chocolates in the room on arrival.
A special mention to Elle and Eleanor for their friendly and attentive service during dinner (and laughing at my Dad's jokes..That's above and beyond the call of duty).
The rooms were spacious and airy, perfect for both my parents and our dog who was also welcomed and catered for. Dog friendly rooms are often not the best quality rooms in hotels for obvious reasons but there was nothing inferior in the quality of furnishing and fittings in the room we were given.
The restaurant is a fabulous dining location and the food was exceptional, a varied menu of interesting dishes using the best ingredients, much of it locally sourced, well prepared and presented, and very reasonably priced.
My only gripe is one that applies to a lot of UK hotels and only becomes an issue on the rare occasions when we have exceptional heat like now: the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. Although fans were provided and were a great help they are noisy and don't cool an entire room so it was stuffy and not the best night's sleep despite the very comfortable super king sized bed. I would recommend installing air con and temperature control to the rooms to really make a 5 star experience for guests.
Lovely surroundings and relatively modern mixed with historic styles. The restaurant was good and the food excellent. The staff were warm and friendly which helped offset the other issues.
Room was not up to the usual standard. Car park for bar was underneath the window and meant lots of noise filtered into the room. The fridge was short of refrigerant and gurgled incessantly disturbing my sleep. The room is in the attic and has a very small door to get into the room with a slanted ceiling inside.
The food was amazing . Staff was very nice
