Very Poor Sofa Beds
Pros:

The location is good for exploring Reading / Newbury area and the hotel's public areas are spacious and inviting. However, the staff were not inviting and I was treated very poorly by one lady receptionist who refused to give me her name twice. My main issue was the sofa beds - they are not fit for purpose and need to be changed. I could feel the metal springs under the fabric. Totally unsuitable for sleeping. I would avoid this hotel when it comes to service and sleep experience. Yes, I could have asked for a room change however the fact that the staff was so uninviting and the bedroom had a sofa bed which was set up for me and not checked for sleep experience by staff, told me that they don't care. I checked out.

Great stay at Holiday Inn
Pros:

I was very impressed by this holiday inn hotel! I stayed here as it was local to a wedding I was at, but I would recommend for anyone looking for a cosy and affordable stay near to Reading. The place was very clean and the room was a great size. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Very good hotel excellent staff good location
Pros:

Welcome on arrival by Stephen was exceptional and helpful Room was good ,would have liked a hook in the en-suite to hang clothes . Staff in restaurant excellent evening and at breakfast . Overall very good .

Rapide mais efficace!
Pros:

L’hôtel est vraiment mignon et le personnel est au petit soins.
La chambre était bien spacieuse pour 2 femmes donc génial!

Cons:

L’odeur du gel douche et du shampooing sont vraiment pas fou…

Very friendly and helpful staff especially Emma but included food options could be improved.
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful particularly Emma who went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed the experience. One improvement I’d like to see is that if some items on the included menu are not available, then a substitute off the full menu could be offered. It would be nice to be able to select a main menu item by paying a supplement.

Pros:

The size of the room, how clean it was and the fact that they offered if you forgot your toothbrush and toothpaste they could arrange it for you, I didn't need it but was nice and the deco off the bathroom

Cons:

The shower was awful 9 holes each split in two so 18 little holes spating out water, also the mattress incredibly soft not what most would be people would like
