Rodd Charlottetown exceeded all expectations. Farah's warmth and exceptional hospitality made our PEI trip unforgettable
Pros:

Our first visit to Prince Edward Island and the beautiful city of Charlottetown was an unforgettable experience. While the island's unique attractions, rich history, and refined cultural atmosphere captivated us, what truly made our journey exceptional was our stay at Rodd Charlottetown.

From the moment we stepped inside, we were enchanted by the hotel's elegant heritage architecture, which beautifully reflects the character and history of Charlottetown. One detail that particularly touched us was the warm, golden lighting throughout our room. It reminded us of the welcoming light in our family home back in Persia—a refreshing contrast to the cold, dim lighting often found in many modern luxury hotels across North America. It created an atmosphere of warmth, comfort, and genuine hospitality.

The housekeeping staff also deserve sincere recognition. Their dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail ensured that every day of our stay was comfortable and pleasant. Their hard work often goes unnoticed, yet it is an essential part of what makes a great hotel truly great.

However, the highest praise belongs to one extraordinary person: Farah, at the front desk.

Farah is the kind of hospitality professional every hotel hopes to have. She welcomed us each day with a sincere smile, remarkable kindness, and a genuine desire to help. She went far beyond her responsibilities by preparing and printing detailed information about Charlottetown's attractions, recommending outstanding local restaurants, and offering thoughtful suggestions that transformed our visit into an unforgettable experience. She treated us not simply as hotel guests, but as valued friends visiting her city.

People like Farah are the true ambassadors of Canadian hospitality. Her professionalism, warmth, generosity, and passion for helping others left a lasting impression on us.

Without hesitation, we can say that Farah was one of the main reasons our first trip to Prince Edward Island became so memorable. When we return to Charlottetown—and we certainly will—there is no question where we will stay. It will be Rodd Charlottetown once again.

We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic, welcoming, and memorable stay in Charlottetown. If you have the opportunity to meet Farah, consider yourself fortunate. She is truly one of a kind.

Thank you, Farah, and thank you, Rodd Charlottetown, for making our first visit to Prince Edward Island an experience we will always cherish.

Location, location, location
Pros:

Great location. It’s just a 15 minute walk to the waterfront. Housekeeping staff was also kind enough to get me extra band aids because I fell at Confederation Park. Thank you!

Très confortable avec un personnel au top
Pros:

La maîtrise et la sympathie du personnel. Aussi, la chambre était vraiment confortable. Parfaite pour rester deux nuits.

Cons:

Dommage à notre époque de ne pouvoir se connecter à une application de streaming sur la télévision. À part cela, rien à noter.

Cons:

Bathrooms modern and clean but compact - just a little too compact.

Good price good space
Pros:

Location is great, the room itself was also good. Hotel seemed clean. A lot of the staff were super nice - specifically the women who was on the night shift on the 7th. She had shorter hair in a braided style and was very very helpful. But overall the staff was nice.

Cons:

Sauna wasn’t working the entire stay and I felt like the staff didn’t really communicate. When we asked at the desk they didn’t even know it was out of order. At one point we had our room cleaned and when we came back the space smelled badly of body odor (not trying to be rude) which was a little overwhelming. We called the desk and asked for room spray or something to help, she said someone was coming but never did. At 8:40 another morning house cleaning showed up to clear our room. Again just jarringly early to start.

It was good overall.
Pros:

Great location! The free parking was nice and the outside sitting area was also nice and comfortable.

Cons:

The room we stayed in was small and dated however it was reflected in the price. The celing light was very dim so it's a good thing there was a window. The bathroom although small was nice. Lots of towels.

Beautiful building and atmosphere!
Pros:

I spent three nights at this hotel during the CVMA convention. The property is a beautifully renovated historic building, and everything—from the atmosphere and location to the service—was top-notch.

Pros:

Great location. Ample parking. Clean and updated room. Bathroom on the small side - but to be expected from older hotels.

Cons:

Placed us on a lower floor - booking.com confirmation said we were to be on upper floor. They couldn't accommodate us at check-in. Noisy patrons (wedding?) outside front of building woke us up around 2 AM.

Pros:

The staff was excellent. Very helpful in all areas, including lending us umbrellas when the weather took a turn. I would absolutely stay again.

Cons:

Minor, but our toilet had a slight leak, so we used white noise to drown it out. We didn't tell the staff, as it was minor.

Pros:

Staff was extremely wonderful.
