Stayed here for 2 nights traveling with 2 kids. Front desk staff was friendly but the hotel is outdated, dingy & smells like a basement. The sheets were stained and our pillows smelled dirty and musty. The bathroom was dirty. Would not stay here again.
This hotel was surprising to me considering the previous review. I don’t ever write reviews myself. It was extremely humid in the entire hotel, including the rooms. When I got off the elevator to go to my room there was a very strong chemical smell which I thought would be gone when I was IN my room. It wasn’t (they were painting in the room next door). They kindly moved me to a different floor and when attempting to access the streaming services I received an error message for all of them. When I called the front desk, I was told I couldn’t access even using my own log in information. I tried to bypass by logging into my hotspot but continued to receive the same code.
The room itself was fine and clean but lacked what I thought were standard amenities at this point.
To start off of the list, the breakfast is terrible and there is only a limited amount of options being certain breaded foods like bagels, bread, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and cereal, ( which the cereal obviously isn’t breaded and is very stale) Now, those may sound good, but they don’t even taste good and make your stomach feel like your organs are getting repeatedly stabbed by a scalpel. The funny part is in the elevator there is a sign that Says that there is endless possibilities and the food makes your mouth water. Quite the opposite actually. Next, the rooms are awful too. My friend had to my two times because in one room the ac was broken, and the next smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, And my other friend also had to move rooms because it smelt like cigarette smoke as well. I will also add that they don’t clean your room very well, and all they really do is make your bed. Another problem that I faced is when i was trying to relax in the pool, there were various clump's of hair and the wall was peeling of its paint. Not to mention the freezing water either. When I was walking up the stairs instead of taking the elevator, it smelt like human urine. I also got yelled at the lady for trying to go to all of the floors and the elevators and try to gather up my friends. So now I have to take the stairs for the rest of my stay. Thank you for your time
Our room AC was flakey weather it would work or not on a 90 degree day and all the front desk offered was that maintenance would be there after we checked out. A light in the pool wall came out and was dangerously dangling in the water and when reporting to the front desk they knew about it but hadn't put up a sign or locked the door to keep guests from using it.
Lovely lobby, convenient location and front desk clerk was pleasant. These were the positives during my stay. The negatives: had to move to an alternative room as the first had hairs in the beds. The first room smelled of must (closer to pool?) the second and final room was musty but worse, it smelled of a sewage/drainage issue, we were resigned to accept our fate as it was not a cancelable reservation, but will not be staying again. It became obvious why several other guests were spending their time utilizing public seating areas within the lobby (avoiding their actual assigned hotel room accommodations). The towels were well beyond their expiration date. The bathroom was tired and sickeningly bad smelling; the rooms were tired and disappointing. I highly urge this hotel’s management/franchisee(s) to invest in guest room renovations asap! Would I go back? No. However, the location is great and the opportunity to deliver a comfortable experience for your future guests is worth the investment. Every penny you invest in complete guest room renovations from floor to ceiling will pay off. Your tired guest rooms can not possibly get any more worn and outdated without risking a boot from the Hilton family in my perspective.
The Staff were very helpful
Location
The breakfast was not included and not worth the cost. I had a tub in my bedroom and the shower flooded.
The Breakfast was good. 👍🏾. Area and location was great. 👍🏾
Shows a lot of wear and tear. I was exceptionally disappointed in the breakfast. Hilton Garden Inn usually gives you an option to order off of a menu, this one does not and what they had to offer was far less appealing than a Hampton Inn.. It was so sparse I simply skipped it. Food and drink offerings in their pantry were also very minimal. I would not stay at this location again and I am a Hilton Honors diamond
Steer clear of this hotel.
A group of coworkers and I stayed here this week for work and we all had negatives experiences in each of our five rooms.
To put in perspective, we all travel for work almost every other week, so we have a high tolerance for some shady lodging practices. We just want something clean and safe- they aren’t the Ritz after all.
Anyways…
My room had a fire alarm hanging by its cords on the wall, a leaky faucet in the bathroom which spilled over the counter, a nasty shower stall, and the bottles of products had caked on lotion and hair upon arrival.
The first thing I noticed when I I walked in my room was hair hanging down from the shelf the microwave was on. The bathrooms also have an annoying motion sensing light which will leave you in the dark when taking a shower.
It may seem like a small thing, but it encapsulates the whole lackluster experience, was that the lids to the disposable coffee cups in the room don’t fit the cups provided.
The breakfast was also very poor and strangely set up for a Hilton Garden Inn- don’t be deceived! Most Garden Inns we’ve visited (which are numerous) are a sit-down style in which a waiter serves you a fairly good freshly cooked breakfast to justify the price. Here, it was set up like a typical breakfast buffet with no waiters. The staff member would wait until a person would get halfway through getting their breakfast from the buffet to notify them of the extra charge. It’s not a little charge either-it’s close to $20 for microwaved eggs and sausage. They even requested a tip on the bill despite not providing waiter services.
Yeah, none of us are ever visiting this crappy Hilton Garden Inn again.
The area was convenient and safe.
Dated, needs some maintenance, some cleanliness issues
We were on a bus trip with about 50 people. As a Hilton member I have seen low levels in hotels to higher levels. This hotel; carpet stain in the room, pillows flat, continental breakfast terrible. Now the first night was Monday we left on Tuesday to go to the Ark, on our return half of us had to get our keys rekeyed smh second day same thing. People were nice . I was highly disappointed in the service of room and food.
El colchón de la cama no era cómodo
Wow... what happened?
This used to be a reliable hotel to stay on a weekend but they really let quality slide. Pool closed, horrible tv service provider, room fridge not working, marijuana users throughout the parking lot. I don't think I'd come back here ever again.
We chose this hotel because of the indoor pool, we arrived and it was closed for maintenance. We got to the room and the tv did not work. The staff person could not fix the tv and said there was no other room for us to switch to even though online said there was. He took me to another room and the door would not open. We went to another room, the window was broken being held together with tape, there was no hairdryer and the remote did not work. The staff person said that we could not receive a refund if we left so we were forced to stay. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel.
This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The pool was closed, the tv did not work even after the staff person attempted to fix it. He then said they had no other rooms even though online said they did. He then called to say he could move me to another room.. the first room we went to the door would not open. The second one had a broken window, the remote did not work, there was no hair dryer but he refused to give us a refund so we were forced to stay. Do not stay here!!!
