I liked the size of the room. It was big with 2 big beds. I also liked their little bar with complementary coffee. I like the big bathroom too. I liked that they showed my name on the TV. It was a nice touch. I liked that they served complementary coffee and water in the lobby. It made the hotel feel cozy.
I didn’t like that the windows were dirty. When I opened curtains, I saw dirty windows and that made my experience less pleasant. The carpet in the room was ok. It wasn’t very dirty; but it wasn’t clean either. I think keeping the carpets clean would make the experience even more pleasant.

After spending over a week in Canada’s beautiful nature we thought it would be nice to treat ourselves on a stay in this 5-star hotel in Montreal. But then imagine that you find out that the air conditioning doesn’t work properly (no temperature control, just a fan with “low” and “hurricane” settings), the safe is unusable, the bathroom faucet is practically falling off the sink, the curtains are full of holes, and the chair’s leather upholstery is peeling away (room 618). Not exactly what you would expect.
To make matters worse, there were only three large towels provided for four guests, as we were sharing the room with our 2 kids.
Of course, things can occasionally break down, so we reported all of these issues to the front desk and gave the hotel the opportunity to resolve them. We were assured that everything would be taken care of as soon as possible and that additional towels would be delivered.
Trusting that the issues would be addressed, we went into town and returned six hours later. Nothing had been fixed, and no towels had arrived.
After calling reception again, we received the same assurances. This time, someone did eventually come to the room. Batteries were inserted into the safe, and the faucet was tightened, although it still wobbled. The air conditioning could not be repaired, so we were advised to run the fan at maximum speed instead.
Later, two additional towels were finally delivered, only for us to discover that they were covered in dust and stained brown. That was the final straw.
I ended up walking through the hotel hallways looking for a housekeeper, and thankfully one of the cleaning staff was kind enough to replace them with clean ones.
What made the experience even more disappointing was the contrast with the 2-, 3-, and 4-star hotels we stayed at during our trip across Canada, all of which provided a significantly better experience.

I had stayed at Le Crystal pre-covid, before a Warwick property, and liked the location and large rooms. The suite was spacious with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Rene Levesque Blvd. Although somewhat worn, there was an abundance of storage. Ample usb ports and outlets are throughout. Lighting and furniture are modern and stylish. The large shower was fantastic, and tub was ideal for a deep soak. The king sized bed and pillows were comfortable, Large tvs in both living and bedroom have many cable channels and access to Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, HBO2 and movies. The large Nespresso worked perfectly.
I ordered room service from Siam, which arrived promptly. They offer an assortment of Thai selections and the meal was delicious. They also prepare traditional breakfast.
During my visit the deck with hot tub was closed, but large sauna and pool were available and welcome amenities; I didn't get to the gym.
The inoperable safe and phone issues were inconveniences. But my major disappointment was lack of a workable kitchenette and cookware, amenities listed for the Crystal Suite on Warwick's website. I extended my stay to 11 days because of this feature.
On arrival, I found there was no refrigerator. A sign in the fully stocked minibar warned that its temperature was inadequate for food or medicine, dial 0. I had items to refrigerate and due to my diet, intended to purchase produce. A medium sized fridge with separate freezer was brought up.
No dish sponge, soap, cloth, can opener, dish rack/mat. Nor a complimentary bottle of water, but loads of beverages, liquor and snacks for purchase.
Inside the cabinet with the electric kettle was another sign: Cooking supplies are available, dial 0. I called to request a soup bowl that could rotate in the microwave (large plates provided were square) and pot (the one brought was large enough for stew). So, a minimal kitchenette on demand. I travel worldwide so was prepared to improvise, but did not anticipate having to do so.
Great location, lovely outside hot tub but pool could be a little warmer
The tv remote wasn’t working but fixed quickly. The only issue we had was the sofa bed for my son had lots of stains on the mattress cover when we opened up to make it. They came and gave a fresh one quickly, but still didn’t need to see that.
