Disappointing Customer Service
Pros:

We booked a suite, but due to electrical problems in the room we had to move to a lower-category room because no similar suites were available. We had paid for a more expensive room, so we spoke with the staff about compensation during our stay. At check-out, we were told the matter would be handled.

Unfortunately, we never received any compensation. We also tried contacting Claudia Martinez and Jaante Jones afterwards, but did not get any response.

The hotel itself is clean and otherwise nice, but because of this experience we cannot recommend staying here.

Great Stay
Pros:

We had a great experience at the Hilton Garden Inn ABQ Uptown. Spent two nights in a king on the top floor. The room is smart and efficient, with plenty of storage, lots of outlets, and a compact but effective bathroom. Picked the room due to the high floor hoping for a view, and if you ignore the freeway below it didn’t disappoint.

Speaking of the freeway, it was noticeable at all hours. The hum of the air conditioning and the blackouts seemed to do the job for the most part, but the onramp below woke me a couple of times. Despite that, I was well rested. It didn't wake my husband, but if you're sensitive to noise ask for something facing the other way.

The facilities were very modern, freshly updated, and well-kept. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, the on-site dining, and parking was very easy. Breakfast was included with our stay package, and it was made to order. Dinner tasted great and the service was attentive. Prices were on the high side, but I feel like that's to be expected at a hotel restaurant. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

The neighborhood is nice, densely developed, with shopping and a whole bunch of chain restaurants all within a mile. Make sure to check out old town, just a few minutes east on the 40.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Albuquerque Uptown and had a very positive experience. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and accommodating.

The restaurant service was excellent, with attentive wait staff who made dining easy and enjoyable. The bar was a standout during my stay. Vince, the bar manager, runs a great operation and keeps the bar well stocked, and Laurene is an excellent bartender. Both are knowledgeable mixologists and clearly take pride in their craft. If they have the ingredients, they’ll make it!

Great atmosphere, great service, and a comfortable stay. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.
