Schon lange wollte ich einmal hier im Severin Hotel absteigen, da es mir im Sauerland empfohlen wurde. Deutsches Management sollte ja für eine gute Qualität stehen. Die Lage ist sehr schön, die Anlage gepflegt und das Personal zumeist höflich und zuvorkommend.
Ich hatte ein "DeLuxe Bungalow mit Meerblick" reserviert.
Bei der Ankunft wurde uns nicht beim Kofferausladen geholfen, sondern stattdessen mit dem Taxifahrer besprochen ob er für andere Fahrgäste frei sei. Erst als wir mit schwerem Gepäck in der Lobby standen kam man uns entgegen und half.
Im "Bungalow" selbst sind insgesamt 4 Gästewohnungen untergebracht, also kein Einzelbungalow wie man es von anderen Hotels her kennt. Im Zimmer ein kleiner Kühlschrank, ein Tresor und täglich zwei Flaschen Wasser.
Beim Frühstück eine schöne Auswahl, so dass man täglich variieren kann ohne stets das gleiche Essen zu müssen. Wer allerdings ein Wasser dazu trinken möchte muss dies extra bezahlen?! Also aufpassen was man besellt.
Da es eine recht große Hotelanlage ist, wäre ein geführter Rundgang am Anfang empfehlenswert, ist aber vom Hotel nicht vorgesehen.
Das Zimmer (410) verfügt nicht wirklich über ein Meerblick. Vom Balkon aus sieht man zunächst den Garten und weit im Hintergrund dann etwas vom Meer. Vom Zimmer aus sieht man nur den Garten.
Unsere Einwände wurden zur Kenntnis genommen, ein Zimmer-Tausch aber ausgeschlossen.
An einem Abend wollten wir in der Nachbarschaft essen gehen. Der Torwächter riet uns jedoch davon ab die 300 meter über die Straße zu Fuß zu laufen. Es sei zu gefährlich. Ja, er erlaubte es uns nicht. Stattdessen rief er ein Auto (mit der Aufschrift vom Hotel) und meinte wir sollten damit die 300 Meter fahren.
Letztlich war es wohl ein befreundeter Taxifahrer der natürlich für die kurze Strecke 2€ abkassierte. Nicht viel aber dennoch ein Unverschämtheit. Zurück sind wir natürlich ohne Gefahr gelaufen.
Insgesamt bin ich vom Hotel enttäuscht und werde selbst hier nicht mehr einkehren.
F&B was good.Breakfast good.All Teammembers been nice and helpfull.The Hotel have an good standard and restaurants are nice.The hotel would need an Master Plan Refurbishment as it has reached the years as you can see in many areas.Guestrooms - Bathrooms has been refurbished but bed very old ( mattress terrible ), wood entrance doors needs some carpentry work as they not close and no sound prove etc., on arrical the shower floor mats / bath mats been very durty with hair etc. maybe left from the previous guest - not good impression at all, all the old wood ( lodge style ) not easy to clean and to maintain ( bed old, etc. all furniture are very old, and I am sure not cleaned, etc. I love the Breakfast which was great and enough you need to start your day, the coffee was great as I love only black coffee and the test was great, I arranged an airport pick up request but nobody showed up at the airport and nobody answered the hotel phone as I called several times from the airport to see if there are anyone to pick me up etc. I would still come back as I like the atmosphare of the hotel.I hope the Owner will plan soon some Phases of Refurbishment specially Guestrooms to improve the Guest Expectation and Experience. The Life Guard been super kind and friendly by providing a towel and set up the beach chair etc.
Guestrooms old furniture - bed and matress, - entrance wooden door make a lot of noise and did not close properly plus not sound prove etc., shower and bathroom Plumbing - on the mixer the perlator not cleaned ( run out filter / strainer ) same at the shower head and hand hold shower, TV not in the center of the bed ( could be easy with an proper wall mounted TV holder adjusted, at breakfast the coffee on the table should be prepared in an Thermo Coffee Pot ( Thermos Flask ) to keep the coffee warm, etc.
Fantastic accommodation situated right on Bamburi Beach. Fantastic facilities, from the outdoor pools, the gym and excellent WiFi. The accommodation was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, huge variety and spacious dining hall. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

I needed to make a phone call and they didn't have that provision.
The staff was attentive, and the food was excellent. The room was excessively humid, perhaps due to inadequate maintenance of the air conditioning. I think you pay more for what you get.
When making the booking, I made a mistake with the dates, which cost me an extra night without sleep. MINUTES after the error, I contacted both Booking.com and the hotel, and both told me there was nothing they could do. I believe this is an abuse of power on your part, especially with a long-time customer
We loved our stay at Severin Sea Lodge! The staff was friendly and so helpful, making sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable during our stay. The pool and facilities were wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast with many options. Highly recommend!!

I loved the money but I didn't like they could walk on tables freely. I found it problematic from an igienic perspective.
