Pros:

The location is lively. Tree lined residential neighborhood and walking distance to the lake. Beautiful porch were you can sit and have a drink.

We also enjoyed the restaurant and Yasmine is the best waitress! Friendly and charming. Good guidance.

Valet staff were fantastic. $35/night

Cons:

Room was small. Bed was supposed to be a queen size but was a full size. Phone didn’t work. You are paying for the location and charm of the older building.

The front desk manager did comp us valet and breakfast for one day due to the concerns we had.

I'd recommend it!
Pros:

Outstanding manager! Comfortable character. Nice amenities. Great location.

Cons:

The shower in my room was challenging -- I had to stand in the narrow space between the toilet and the shower to turn on the water and to turn the water to hot ... and the handle for controlling flow and temperature was HARD to move!

We had a great time. Best place to go if you are visiting Northwetstern.

Great place to stay in Evanston
Pros:

This was our third of four Graduate Hotels on a recent Midwest college trip and this one was probably my favorite of the four--charming lobby, bar, restaurant, and rooms and fantastic location in Evanston.
