A Pleasant Surprise: Heritage Charm, Great Hospitality, and a Memorable Stay

Centrally located and conveniently close to Marina Beach, the museum, and several key attractions, this beautiful heritage property exceeded our expectations. I was initially apprehensive about booking an older hotel, but I am truly glad I chose it.
We had a very pleasant stay. The pool was large and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere gave the hotel a regal, royal charm. The staff was courteous, attentive, and always willing to help. The food at Society Restaurant was excellent and one of the highlights of our stay.
We loved everything about the hotel, from its warm hospitality and impeccable service to its elegant ambience. In my opinion, the hotel does not showcase itself online as well as it deserves to. It is far better in reality than its online presence suggests.
Thank you to the entire team for the wonderful hospitality and for making our stay so memorable.

Disappointing security incident

Good breakfast

Cons:

Staff entered room without asking while we were away and left the door wide open and unattended for a couple hours. We could have been robbed, as all our belongings were in the room for anyone to walk inside. Luckily nothing was taken.

Exceptional hospitality by the staff
Pros:

This is one of the oldest heritage hotel located in the heart of the city - Egmore. Exceptional hospitality by the staff (Special mention to Shweta and Moorthy Sir). The hotel”s ambience reminds you about the old Chennai, the rooms are pretty decent and so was our stay.

Great experience for us.. Very good value for money due to location of the hotel, spacious rooms, friendly staff to accomodate early check in and late check outs..hotel ambience inside was true to its name showcasing tamil heritage and antique works. Cleanliness and breakfast buffet spread can be better .
