Pros:

Great location, friendly staff, dealed with all the issues professionally. I didn't like the view from our room and they kindly agreed to give us a room with a better view the next day, but we were just too lazy to move somewhere else again, to save the time we stayed in the first room and it was good. Delicious breakfasts! With a variety of dishes, mainly of local cuisine and it was great to discover new flavours. On one of the days we had a very early excursion, and had to leave the hotel at 5.30 am. This coincided with the beginning of their religious holiday when the Muslim people had their meal about 4 to 6 am, so we were allowed to join this super early breakfast. The beef was just superb! And of course their croissants baked fresh on the spot , are simply irresistible. I cant but mention super comfortable beds and pillows. Nothing disturbed our sleep after midnight (there were fireworks around midnight each night as it was a TET week ).They also give you umbrellas for free if it's raining. On checking in they want a deposit of 100 ringgits which they return back on checking out. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would gladly return there!

Cons:

In this hotel the rooms with one double bed are all along one side, while the rooms with two singles beds overlook the other side and the view isn't very enjoyable, as a big round building blocks the view over the city. Plus there's a swimming pool just under the window and if we stayed in the room in the daytime we could hear the kids shouting playing down. As somebody mentioned in the posts below, you can feel the smell of the carpet in the corridor but it wasn't critical. So these little minuses didn't spoil our time.
