Hotel is next to the convention center and walkable to Riverwalk mall and the Alamo. Hotel lobby is great with complimentary fresh aqua drink daily. Hotel rooms were clean but are a lil dated. Microwave in ice room is a plus.

There was almost no communication provided by the hotel when there was a water issue and guests were without water for 24 hours. When I first encountered the issue *I* had to call down to the front desk to see what was happening. When I spoke to someone they sounded like they were fully aware of the issue, and yet guests were not told once the property knew of the concern. A bag of two waters and a letter was left on my door that wasn't found until the next morning, long after I should have known it was there. Again, had the hotel communicated that water was going to be delivered to each room, I would have known to check. Finally, after the water issue was finally remedied, the next evening I ordered room service at 9pm in the evening and informed that I should expect delivery by 9:45pm. When I finally called downstairs at 10:03pm to see when to expect my food, the person I spoke to said, "someone just left not long ago to deliver the food". It took any additional 15 minutes before someone finally arrived at my door - 30 minutes AFTER I was told I should expect my food to arrive. The food arrived so cold it was like it had been sitting out for at least 30 minutes; it was almost inedible - but of course, no additional room service orders can be made after 10pm so I was out of luck. Also, upon arrival, I found the bathroom unclean with hair on the vanity and dried urine on the seat. After all was said and done, this was the worst experience I've ever had at a Hyatt property and no offer of compensation, such as World of Hyatt points, comped room service, etc., was given. I do not plan to ever stay at this property again due to the poor management.

The location was great. Hotel was really nice. The coffee and snack shop was huge and had a great variety. Very clean, large room. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were all wonderful!

If I could rate this a zero I would.
Water was out for 30 hours. It went out at 1pm. It wasn't until 10 pm that 2 small water bottles and a note were quietly left outside my door. Nothing was on the website and no notes were up in common spaces. Nothing except for bottles of water and coffee were offered as compensation. No showers after a hot and sweaty opening party for the convention I was attending. No communication for 9 hours and then no updates. I had to book an early flight home, which was $700, because no one seemed to have any idea of when things would be fixed and I was unable to get walked to a different hotel. I had to leave the convention early and my company was out of pocket for the additional flight.
The true measure of a hotel is how they handle it when things go wrong, because let's be honest, sometimes things happen. The lack of communication and just basic disregard for their guests comfort showed exactly who they are. Never again.

Grand Riverwalk was wonderful and a very accommodating friendly place for a conference and would be my top consideration for a vacation. Thankfully the hotel took the tornado seriously and evacuated while the other half of our conference group staying across the street only knew of the eminent threat via their phone warning.

The hotel is centrally located and easily accessible. The room was quite comfortable and neat. The sustainability effort is highly commendable.

The hotel itself was lovely, but it was badly let down by staff (reception) hostility, the hotel taking unauthorised money from my card, and awful room coffee, without a kettle to make nicer drinks. You need to be a contortionist to get to the fridge plug. Towels are TINY.

The hotel is in a very good location, especially if you are going to a convention at the convention center. It is clean and quiet. You may have some problems with the key fob in the elevator, lots of people did. The room service menu is very limited but fine for what it is. We were comfortable, I just expected more pampering from a Grand Hyatt.

The lobby was beautiful, the spoonful shop was the saving grace for customer service, coffee and snacks. The pool was nice and provision of towels was helpful. The DJ played great music. The gym was great, the room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was appreciated.

Be sure to check the room you registered for at the front desk to ensure 100% accuracy. Will be back for sure.

Amazing trip to the Riverwalk and Grand Hyatt. Grand Hyatt was exceptionally clean, friendly and food and drinks were outstanding. Rooms are spotless and the sheets on the bed are the best I have ever slept on. I could have stayed in bed and just enjoyed those sheets! Outstanding hotel with exceptional staff and location.

Wonderful stay at grand Hyatt. Everything was very clean and the location is amazing. The conference center is right next door and in the evenings you want right onto the riverwalk with tons to do and eat. Can’t wait to come back with my significant other to enjoy this hotel and its prime location again.
