Una volta era meglio
Pros:

La struttura è sempre molto bella (anche se necessita di qualche manutenzione), il personale sempre attento e gentilissimo. Belle le camere, pulite,tranquille

Purtroppo avevo ricordi di questo hotel prima che passasse alla catena Mercure come una struttura di classe e di livello elevato,sia nei servizi che nella ristorazione. L'hotel è sempre bello ma necessita di piccole manutenzioni nelle camere ,qualcuna in più nella spa e nelle piscine esterne (lettini da cambiare, idromassaggi non funzionanti,tesserine dei mosaici mancanti,ecc.). Il servizio ristorazione completamente da rivedere. Funziona solo un ristorante di impostazione classica a bordo piscina dove però metà menu è sempre mancante. Dovrebbe funzionare qualcosa di più facile e veloce a pranzo per coloro che sono in piscina. Vero che il prezzo è molto vantaggioso ma questo è un hotel 4 stelle con servizi,però, da 3 stelle

Beautiful place... don't expect much by way of service or staffing!
Pros:

It's a stunning place spacious and surrounded by natural beauty way up in the hills of Tuscany!

Cons:

It's very much a remote location and it seems like a bit of a ghost town! Hardly any staff. I dont know if it was just a low season, but it literally felt like no one was there. The Service is so minimal that it's practically like booking a huge gorgeous air b&b! No staffing hardly. No service apart from the cleaners in the morning and breakfast staff. If your lucky you may get some attention at lunch time around the pool area restaurant but don't expect much. No room service no spa staff, unmanned reception a lot of the time.

Pros:

The room was lovely, clean, well maintained and recently renovated. The beautiful lobby also suggests that this hotel must once have been a vibrant and impressive place.

Unfortunately, the entire property now feels completely deserted. All the bars were closed, many areas were unused, and there was absolutely no atmosphere. It genuinely felt as though the hotel were slowly preparing to close in the coming years. This is a real shame, as the property has a great deal of potential.

Cons:

Horrible experience – definitely not what we expected

Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend this hotel.

From the moment we arrived, there was a complete lack of hospitality. We received no information about the hotel facilities, breakfast times, spa, pool or anything else.

We went to the hotel restaurant, only to find that around half of the food on the menu was unavailable. The staff were unfriendly and, despite this being advertised as a dog-friendly hotel, there was not even a water bowl available for our dogs.

A large part of the hotel feels practically closed. Terraces and bars are empty, there is no music, no drinks service, no decoration and absolutely no atmosphere. The lobby and terraces feel neglected and empty. No service no where! You cannot even order a drink or water

The room itself was the one positive: very nice and clean. However, even here basic amenities were missing, and again, nothing whatsoever was provided for the dogs.

Breakfast is served in a room with tiny windows, completely wasting the beautiful surroundings and view. If you want to sit outside on the terrace, the umbrellas are closed and the tables are not even properly set up.

The biggest disappointment, however, is the pool and spa. Guests are charged an additional €30 per person, per day to use them. For an extra charge like this, you would expect excellent facilities and service. Instead, showers in the spa were broken, there was no service at the pool, some umbrellas and chairs were broken, there were not even proper side tables available, and guests had to carry and arrange chairs themselves.
At 1pm and 30 degrees the hotel run out of drinking water at the pool and the staff refused to get any. Something more ridiculous I never met.

Charging hotel guests an additional €30 per person per day for facilities in this condition is simply unacceptable.
