The shower had nice soap and was a nice pressure
Beds comfortable
- Boiler was extremely loud and kept us awake all night. Wasn’t just loud it was almost vibrating the room.
- No communication between cleaners and reception and the cleaner came in at 10am, woke us up and asked if we were checking out when we weren’t until the next day.
- Most staff were unhelpful but there was one guy during the day that had a poor attitude. Just very abrupt which I didn’t appreciate when I have been quite nice considering the issues.
- TV is very small with only a few channels, paying £170 for two nights you would expect at least a smart TV that I can see
Comfortable room - we chose an accessible room so that we would have extra space as we were traveling heavy! Breakfast is great, location great and helpful staff.
We didn't get any housekeeping for 2 days and had to request someone empty the trash and replace a couple of towels.

Room next to boiler which sounded like.motor engine in room from 4am had no sleep offered to move our but jo good at that point, room should not be occupied, breakfast unpleasant. Got refund

AC was not working and hotel promised to compensate 25% of the total and now is asking us to contact booking.com where as they should have said the same on day 1 without wasting 3 months for us to get a refund.
Central location
No parking. I parked outside the hotel to drop off luggage, only left car for 5 mins and got a parking fine. Hotel were not helpful and said it was my problem
Perfect for what I needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
In hallways going to room maintenance was going on and a lot of exposed ceiling panels and wires etc were on show.
Hotel was in a fab location for where we were going the next day and hot buffet breakfast was included with price of room

Main area with the bar is modern and has a decent selection of drinks at average prices.
For the cost it's as expected quality.
Room was unclean and very hot! The sides of the bed were filthy, there was hair in the basin and it was very grimey.
There was also a clump of hair in the kettle that found it's way into my morning coffee. Really turned my stomach!
Air conditioning was not working and we were pre-warned. However, this meant the room was unbearably hot so none of us managed to sleep.
The heat made us all thirsty, but the tap water tasted strongly of chemicals and bottled water was over priced at £3 each.
Parking is very sparse aswell. The tiny car park is pay and display with poorly marked spaces and little room for manoeuvre. Its free after 8pm, but only a few spaces, which filled up very quickly on the Saturday night as Sunday is also free parking.
Up the usual standard for Holiday Inn Express

Not a great deal, far too expensive, no iron, no ironing board shower curtain instead of cubicle,bed far too soft, will not be staying here again. No English meals on the menu from Friday to Monday
