Excellent as to be expected
The bed and the air conditioning
The room was very basic. The shower cubicle was mouldy and leaking. The double glazing was ineffective and old and the outside sound from the traffic was loud and continuous. The room was tired and in need of renovation for the price. We were greeted with a card machine payment with a bill for £165, which we had already paid. Pretty embarrassing. I explained we had paid. The lady at the desk said "Was It with booking.com?" I replied Yes...she said "We always get trouble with booking.com....it never shows as paid on our system." This price also included a car parking charge of £10 even though we were residents. Totally unacceptable. She was more than happy to discuss this payment issue with other residents in ear shot who were waiting to book in.
My husband stays at Holiday Inn hotels all around the country for his job and he says this is the worst one he's ever stayed in. The breakfast was average at best. The toast machine was not set up correctly and the toast was coming out of the back of the machine. Someone came to rectify after my husband went to get help. The man found many slices of toast at the back of the toaster, without gloves he removed them all.. placed them on a plate and served them to my husband and said "I'm not sure which ones were yours". This toast had ended up on the work surface at the back of the toaster... Who would want that.
We chose this hotel because of HI reputation and the fact that we would be able to charge our hybrid car. 4 out of 4 chargers were out of order. The lady at the desk joked saying "The chargers are not working... We called engineer and we waiting" (Her words exactly) Oh...and the WiFi password given to us did not work. We'd had enough at this point. Won't be using Holiday Inn Poole ever again.
Syed and Arnab were so welcoming, what a asset to the team. The recommendations and knowledge of the area went a long way. The check in was flawless. We stay in hotels a lot and this was the best service we've received this year. The rooms are extremely clean and fresh we felt like it was a brand new building. Overall a ten out of ten experience.
Breakfast was plentiful and staff friendly and helpful
De locatie
De kamer had nauwelijks opbergruimte, geen glazen in de kamer, harde matrassen, chagrijnig personeel op 1 na. Slechte voorraad van het restaurant.
Great location comfortable room
Air conditioned room with a comfortable bed and working area was very welcome during this heatwave. Staff were friendly and food in evening was good.
Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The general atmospher at the hotel was calm and pleasant. Food was well cooked and presented.
No negatives to report.
We stay here now every time we come to visit family. It’s ideally situated for us, the rooms are always spotless, the staff are excellent and breakfast is simple and informal.
Nothing except they ran out of the exceptional coffee (both machines) on one of the mornings we were there!
Stayed 1 night. Good parking. Great welcome. Good room. Air con excellent. Bed comfortable bathroom adequate.
Ate in the restaurant. Some choices not available. No desserts. But not a lot can be done when it’s gone it’s gone.
Had a green curry, sweet pot fries. Excellent!
Breakfast at IHG is always good.
Staff here are attentive and ensure you have a good stay. Whilst there were food shortages it was explained. Really a good night away, nice bed, tv, room I would stay again when in Poole.
chambre impeccable , petit déjeuner tout à fait correct, et situation parfaite pour prendre le ferry le lendemain et se promener au port le soir
Room and reception are excellent. Coffee ad water availability
Fire alarm at 07:30 in morning because toaster in restaurant
I had booked a room at the hotel for Thursday evening last and had opted for pay at hotel, I was driving down from London London about one hour from the hotel when they phoned me to say that they had given the room away because I had not paid yet previous received that given me the option to pay,
This was so unprofessional and the reception Stuff had nothing more to say. This is not acceptable behaviour and I am very angry and disappointed. I then found a room at hotel Du Vin , and I was very fortunate
L'emplacement par rapport au centre ville
Le manque de préparation de la chambre, les oublis du personnel
Nice clean fresh modern hotel. Location suited us, just a short (10 minute) walk to the harbour with stunning views. Good restaurant for breakfast, with ample choice and variety. Staff efficient & friendly. Parking at £10 for 24 hrs ok. Would have been better with lunch, snacks etc available at lunchtime. Other than the fire alarm at 7.15am after a late night watching England beat Sweden, all Good.
Although the first room they gave me was clearly used and uncleaned, they sorted it quickly, including a free drink while I waited, the 2nd room was great, lots of room, comfortable, and the hotel was really close to the theatre and other amenities and even the beach.
The breakfast, it would have been good to have actual eggs rather than scrambled presumably from powder. Otherwise everything was good.
