Poor breakfast
Pros:

Went to breakfast (6/9) and was told no cinnamon rolls “because the truck hadn’t arrived yet.” Asked for more sausage, was told they would get more, only to never see them again and no sausage.

A hidden gem in Savannah Historic District
Pros:

The Holiday Inn Express Savannah- historic district has always been our go to hotel to stay at while our daughter was attending SCAD these last four years. We are always impressed with the location, accommodations and staff. We recently stayed here to attend SCAD’s graduation events and as usual we were very impressed. From the minute we parked our car with Tianna, to check in with Wanda we felt relaxed and calm during a hectic time for our family. We booked two rooms for our large group and both rooms were clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast was just enough and the staff running it kept things full, hot and the tables were always clean. I’d like to especially thank Tianna for helping us with our large van we drove from Pennsylvania as we were also moving our daughter out as well. Tianna’s smile and southern hospitality assured us our rental car would be safe and accessible. She gave us time to unload all our luggage and checked over the car before she parked it. She answered all our questions and went above and beyond.

Another person I’d like to thank is Wanda at the front desk. Her beautiful personality made us feel welcome as soon as we entered the lobby. With our large party we had a few requests and Wanda helped to make them all happen. Wanda helped make a busy, hectic, emotional event for our family go smoothly and I wanted to make sure I recognized her and thanked her for all of her help. We hope to return to Savannah soon and when we do this will be our hotel.

A wonderful staff and clean place to stay while on vacation.
Pros:

The rooms were exceptionally clean. They offered free breakfast. The concierge was very politeand welcoming. Anytime she saw us she spoke with a smile. The staff (Wanda) was wonderful. We added an early day to our original stay. We had to wait on our room for the next reservation. Wanda was on it. She called us to let us know our room was ready. Whenever she saw us, she always greeted us by name and that contagious smile. The valet service was also great. We did not have to wait long for our car when needed. Always opened the doors and greeted us with a smile. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Cons:

I have stayed in many hotels. I can't name one thing I didn't like about this place. However, the iron did not work. However, it didn't diminish my love for this place.

Great location but not a good value for your money.
Pros:

Our first morning breakfast was ok. We didn't eat there again after that experience. Our 2nd day there were got stuck in down pour so ran to hotel around noon. Our room hadn't been serviced with clean towels so we could take showers. Phone in room didn't work so we walked down to front desk and asked for towels. It was 3 hrs later when they arrived. Loved the river views.

Cons:

The room was serviced every other day which was fine with us until it was well into the afternoon the clean towels and washcloths were brought. Location was fantastic. Not sure we would stay there again for the money.

Great location and a good nights rest.

Great location. Clean and well appointed.

Cons:

Not enough luggage carts. Only saw 2 when we checked in. A valet grabbed us a small one. Leaving? Nothing around so we had to carry our own. We’re Seniors but we managed. There wasn’t any beverage in the room. A couple of Small bottled waters would’ve been nice and really expected at this price point.
