Friendly staff but things easy to fix just sit there.
Pros:

The staff is friendly at this hotel, and the breakfast is good. But there’s just some glaring issues that are easy to fix and I imagine cheap that were in my room and hallway. Both vent covers had either rust or mold covering them. I showed photos to the front desk on the first day and in the three nights I was there they were never replaced. These are probably five dollar items that you would imagine the hotel would have handy. In the hallway there was an air intake that was covered in black dirt or mold, and it looked like maybe some water damage around it. You would think this would be easy to clean or replace in 15 or 20 minutes. But it just sat there. It is a good location and as I said, the staff is friendly so it does have that going for it.

Property needing TLC
Pros:

This review is solely on the dire condition of the hotel

Staffs and service level was impeccable

Been staying here repeatedly, the hotel’s condition worsening at each return.

Parking lines are disappearing, so cars just park terribly and making limited parking space within hotel’s compound

Some areas in the rooms, the table lamp is missing and that corner becomes dark

Mattresses are lop-sided, sunken in the middle, and needing to change

Shower and the tap aren’t working too well - when only needing to fill bath tub, the shower leaked badly

Lightbulbs in the room and hallway are yellow and white

Some room’s sofa really need to be replaced. Sunk into the sofa seat

Air condition ventilation blows directly to the bed for both 2 bedrooms, making it very uncomfortable

Our family loves the hotel 2bedroom configurations: 1king bed and 2 queen bed, with sofa bed. No hotels offer such configurations. Just very unfortunate the property seems neglected

Housekeeping has also improved (in our previous stays, our room was often missed uncleaned and needing request to be cleaned. We were very surprised our rooms were made daily this time! So that’s really nice!)

Breakfast replenishment needs to be faster especially during peak hours. Often finding little left while guests kept coming.

Comfortable, pleasant stopover
Pros:

Comfortable, well-appointed, excellent staff who went out of their way to make the stay pleasant. Convenient turn off the QEW highway in a quiet location. Nice breakfast. I did not use them but there is even an indoor pool, gym and business room.

Cons:

Liked everything though internet strength was a bit weaker at the room in the back.

We will definitely return to this hotel.
Pros:

The staff was uniformly cheerful and professional. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was very pleasant and the staff a delight.

Cons:

There are two safety issues that concerned us. One was that the bathtub really needs TWO safety bars. Because of the narrowness of the tub, the curvature of the bottom is accentuated and therefore makes one’s footing a bit precarious. The second concerns the driveway into and out of the hotel property. When exiting during commuter hours, turning out into that road with oncoming traffic can be a little dicey. The cars really don’t seem to know to slow down when approaching that exit for hotel guests.

Spacious rooms and good amenities
Pros:

Had a great 12 night stay at Staybridge suites recently. The rooms are really spacious and super clean, perfect if you’re staying a while. Loved the beautiful courtyard and the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and the location made it easy to get around Vaughan as well as into Toronto proper. The gym space is pretty good (could use a bit of an update to the equipment which is showing it's age) - overall this hotel is a fantastic place to stay. Highly recommend for those looking for a reasonable rate with good amenities and excellent rooms. Oh and it's pet friendly as a bonus!
