The staff was extremely helpful and nice.
The TV. Lack of good channels, don't have a subscription for the most of the stations listed, no Netflix or others. Thank you. Seems like a smell coming from the bathroom. The air conditioner was a little loud.
Breakfast was good, outside fire pit and grill area was nice.. room was clean.. pool was nice but the deck was not picked up as people left trash..
Beds we're so uncomfortable and left up sore after 2 nights, wifi didn't work the 1st night and the bedroom internet wasn't working at all for the tv.. Shower water pressure was so bad it was had to wash your hair...
We chose this place specifically for the pool and it was not functioning
Le confort des matelas des
lits, pas de serviettes à la piscine.
The room is not what we reserved - infuriating. Booked a regular king with dual vanities - nope! Were switched without our knowledge into a king with handicapped accessible bath, sloping shelves bolted to the wall, no closet or hanging rod, SINGLE sink. It was too late to correct by the time we arrived and realized and were stuck. Would never have booked here had we known.
It is very worn and not properly clean. Hairs in the tub, shower walls and liquids dispensers grubby, fraying shower curtain and two skimpy towels for 2 people for three nights, though we did get extra by asking at the desk. The bathroom door doesn't shut all the way, is out of square and has no handle on the outside. The frame is clawed up and the walls and ceiling patched. I would not sit on the couch upholstery or step barefoot on the carpet. It is dingy and rough.
It is a good location for Southside if that's where you need to be, and it is reasonably quiet apart from some footfalls overhead, but it is shabby. I would not come back.
Front desk lady when first checked in was very friendly
The pillows were old and un comfortable..we asked for different ones and they brought us the SAME ECACT PILLOW..Housekeeping was NONEXISTENT..we were not told you had to request housekeeping so for 4 days we did our own!
Location, cleanliness, value, breakfast options
No housekeeping during our stay. We had to continuously empty our garbage cans and go to the front desk for toilet paper.
By plenty of restaurants and the staff was great
Nothing everything was good
We booked a week at this hotel, it's a hotel by Hilton. We booked through Hilton Honors at which time we told them that due to our disabilities we need a walk in shower. When we arrive there was a bathtub. No one informed us of the no shower available. The room is also unclean. Wire sticking out of the couch, old bathtub. Certainly not one that bears Hilton name. So we are stuck here until the end of the week. Need a hotel by Hilton stick to Hampton Inn, much much better. Bypass the Homewood suites. You won't be sorry. BTW there will be no compensation for the dirty room, no shower etc. Hilton honors offered to find another hotel in a 5 mile radius but there were none
Certainly not worth the cost. Go to Hampton
We were very disappointed with Homewood Suites Deerwood Park property. The room had a lot of issues. It had dead and live roaches in the room. We had a leaky faucet and broken valve under the kitchen sink which caused water to leak under the kitchen cabinet and out onto the kitchen floor. After reporting the leak to maintenance, it took 2 days for him to follow up. We were told they would order the part, and maintenance never came back to fix the problem. When we followed up, we were then told we had to move to another room in order for maintenance to fix the problem. The channels on the TV were initially without titles so you could not tell what you were watching. When the titles to the channels returned, they did not match the programming playing on the TV. The channels also went in and out in the middle of watching a program. This continued throughout our stay until the day of check out. The door to the restroom made a scrubbing sound when closing it, and the closet doors made a loud popping noise when closing them. This was our second stay at this property. We thought we would give them a chance to correct issues we reported from a previous stay (e.g. a toilet that backed up, dead roaches and spiders in the room, dog food in the corner of the room, and problems with the TV as reported above). But this visit was worse than the first. We definitely would not recommend this property.
My first time staying at this hotel, though not my first time staying at a Hilton in Jacksonville. Staff were wonderful from the moment I checked in to the moment I checked out, and I was incredibly impressed with the size of my room! Probably bigger than my apartment back home, lol. I would stay here again.
ROOM: Most of the room was very clean, though you couldn’t pay me to touch the telephone — it was so filthy! Everything was also a little bit rundown — see attached photos. Super small gap between one of the beds and the door, and I kept banging my shin on it. Be careful!
STAFF: Very grateful to the young woman at the front desk when I arrived, who helped provide some guidance on how to use the guest laundry (it’s a super fancy but easy-to-use system — all you need is your phone and a credit card) and then the super lovely head housekeeper introduced herself when I went down to ask about parking (which is complimentary for all guests on a first come first serve basis).
At one point, I did go down the stairs from the 4th floor and it absolutely reeked of marijuana. I got halfway down the stairwell and discovered there were three young men doing a video shoot on the stairs.
Large, well equipped gym, though I didn’t use it.
