Very happy and friendly team of staff. Location was good, beautiful views
In one of the 2 rooms the door and window rattled in the wind all night and the widow blew open. Noisy neighbours
Great location, friendly staff, spa facilities a nice extra.
More info in rooms about meal times and offerings would be useful, rather than having to decide on check-in while looking at a printout… I didn’t find the bed or pillows very comfortable but appreciate everyone prefers different things!
Staff were very friendly - everywhere. Everywhere seemed fresh and modern as though it has been recently refreshed. Facilities at the hotel were good - the spa area is very nice and bar and restaurants - also very nice. Location was great - beautiful views of the sea. Definitely a place I would come back to.
Food was a bit disappointing - it was ok but not great. At breakfast it was clear that the bacon and sausage had been pre-cooked because it was hard. We had one evening meal there and my husband's steak was not cooked as requested - it was well done. Also they had run out of peppercorn sauce and had no alternative. I had the mushroom risotto which was a bit stodgy. The only other thing that guests need to be aware of is that the parking spaces are very narrow.
Everything, from meeting the receptionist, to a fantastic shower, great food, good genuine staff, and wonderful location.
Nothing
Staff are lovely and there's a charm to the place that I hope never changes.
Position
No evening restaurant on couple of nights

Lovely staff
food good
Location
Breakfast great
Bed mattress uncomfortable and pillows
Lovely view
Bed gave me some back ache as not fully supportive
Breakfast excellent
Dinner good but no variation of menu
Staff all excellent
Parking limited and couldn’t always get space at hotel.
Spaces too narrow. Couldn’t exit car.
Sea view was great , staff were friendly , room was cosy
Terrible service at meal times , waited an hour for dinner to be served with the dining room only half full. Room wasn’t cleaned or serviced in the 3 nights we stayed there, even after asking them to. Had to keep asking for tea, coffee and milk at reception as it wasn’t replenished in the room
The Grand Hotel has many memories for me.
But I had never stayed there before because I live locally. It was all I expected and more.Very
The decor, cleanliness My room was lovely
ROOM BUT I HAD SLEEPLESS NIGHTS BECAUSE OF THE NOISE. THE BOILER WAS BROKEN AND FOR THE FIST NIGHT I GOT NO SLEEP AT ALL. I met the plumber in a smallroom next to mine the next morning who apologised for the noise and said he had fixed it. It was better, but still shuddering every ten minutes or so on an irratic basis. Because it stopped intermitantly I didn't ask for a room change (and because we were down on a family visit did not want to spend my special holiday time complaining a moving rooms.
The views from the hotel are lovely.
The broken boiler and the noise it made leading to sleepless nights.
Excellent hotel in a superb location. Parking is a bit tight but we managed fine. The staff were excellent as was the food we had
There was no fridge in our room, which for a hotel of this stature was an unpleasant surprise.
