Canalview Hotel Ter Reien is a self check-in hotel, where no 24-hour front desk is available.
There will be staff present at the reception between 14:00 and 20:00.
All information about check-in and staff presence will be provided before stay.
Not inclusive roomprice, supplements:- Hairdryer: these are available at reception (from 08.30am-14pm for a supplement of €5.00.
- Extra pillow: € 2.50 per unit
- Tea kettle: € 5.00 per stay
- Service fee € 5.00 per person per stay
- Extra towel package € 10 per person per stay and includes 2 large towels,2 small towels,1 bath mat
Please note that no intermediate housekeeping service is provided during your stay. Towels are not replaced automatically but can be asked free at the reception desk or housekeeping.
Heating policy in winter: The heating is automatically provided at a max. of 20 degrees in the rooms from 4.00pm - 10.30am.
Renovation/construction/maintenance work for the exterior/interior of public spaces and rooms will be carried out from 01/01/26 to 31/12/26Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Lo central que estaba!
Era demasiado frío, no tenía calefacción ni cobijas, no habia ni jabón de manos!
Muy buena ubicación cerca a la estación caminando 20 minutos y a los lugares turísticos de brujas
Que el desayuno lo sirvan muy tarde debería ser a partir de las 7.30 ya que los trenes salen temprano

L'emplacement de l'hôtel, la flexibilité de notre heure d'arrivée ainsi que la gentillesse du gérant et réceptionniste de l'hôtel. Nous avons apprécié également le petit déjeuner.
Quelques petits détails au niveau de la finition dans la chambre (bouton des toilettes cassé, prise électrique dysfonctionnel) mais rien de bien méchant honnêtement. On sent qu'il y a une sincère volonté de bien faire et, au regard des images et commentaires des dernières années, je ne peux que constater une belle évolution.

I really enjoyed the canal view. You have to be clear about the fact that there will be tourists in boats that run across your window from 10-6pm everyday in like a 10 minute rhythm. When you sit in the bed they will be like 2 meters away from you. But we didn’t care, they always looked the other way.

Before my stay I got a spam of messages from the hotel basically telling me this: NO Amenities - only hand soap / when you stay shorter than 4 days you have to pay 10€ for fresh towels / no automatic intermediate cleaning / no hairdryer; you have to pay for it / if you want it warmer than 20 degrees you have to pay 15€ per night >> so there is really nothing (except one tiny piece of soap) and everything costs something.
The hotel is renovating - they told me in the messages - but when we arrived our tiny toilet had no ground. It was just bare concrete, cold and a little dirty.
Wasn’t really super clean overall.
The breakfast was bad. Only soft bread, sugared cornflakes, milk, old apples, cheese and ham for the bread and sugared jam. No chance to start your day healthy. Tea was strongly aromatised.

Really comfortable bed, great continental breakfast and fantastic location within walking distance of city centre.
There were some other guests who were very loud late at night and into the early morning both nights and as it was an unmanned reception we couldn't bring this up with staff. Shower head had poor water pressure and there were no extra pillows (without paying for them).
Amazing view directly to the canal. We had a swan swimming below our balcony both nights. It was a magical moment.
No free amenities. You have to pay for everything: shampoo, extra heating , extra pillows. There was a vending machine that only worked with coins.

La recepción, No estaba la persona para recepción del check in, no contestaban los mensajes. Y una vez que llegó, dio respuestas de mala forma.
Recomiendo mejorar la luz del baño que es automática y se apaga y el sensor no responde rápidamente, lo cual asusta a las personas que tienen claustrofobia.
