It was OK overall but not what I expected

Best stay ever.
Pros:

Liked the sitting area either couch separate from the sleeping area. Allowed us to leave day early when our week plans changed… thanks.

Good location. A very decent breakfast. Good size for a family with 3 children.

Cons:

We were assisted by a very friendly young man at check-in, but he had a question regarding the payment card, so he went to consult a woman who was there (I’m not sure what her role at the hotel was). We tried to explain the situation to her and ask if there was a problem, but she was extremely unpleasant toward us.
On the other hand, the beds are like a stone. The air conditioning sounded like an airplane turbine; it was very hot, so it was a choice between not sleeping because of the noise or not sleeping because of the heat.

Bad hotel, please avoid at all costs

Checked into a room with a broken toilet at 11 PM—unusable plumbing and terrible service

I was traveling with my family including an infant .

I checked into this hotel late tonight and immediately discovered that the toilet flush mechanism was completely broken and unusable.

Because the hotel was fully booked, they could not offer me an alternative room. Instead of immediately arranging to "walk" me to a nearby competitor (the standard industry practice for uninhabitable rooms), the manager's initial response was a stalling tactic, stating he would "talk to the owner."

When I pushed for a resolution, the hotel's only solutions were to either send a maintenance worker into my room at 11:00 PM to pull apart the plumbing while I was trying to sleep, or offer a "free cancellation" and cast me out into the street near midnight to find a last-minute hotel on my own dime.

Charging me $0 for a room with no working plumbing is not "compensation"—it is the bare legal minimum for services not rendered. I was forced to pay a massive premium to book an emergency last-minute room elsewhere in Ithaca at midnight because of this property’s complete failure of basic maintenance and customer service.

If you book here, be prepared to test your utilities immediately upon check-in, as management will expect you to absorb the financial and logistical stress of their maintenance failures. Completely unacceptable.

I would stay again.
Pros:

Pet Friendly! It cost $50 per night, per pet.
The location was perfect.
The room was a suite which was very comfortable.
Breakfast was great!

Cons:

The pool wasn’t open. The hot water in our bathroom wouldn’t shut off completely, not a problem for me but costly for the hotel. They provided a coffee pot but there were no coffee cups in the room, however there was coffee in the lobby.

I rented a suite, the bedroom was poorly setup, Both queen beds were against the wall so my husband and I couldn't sleep in the same bed. The bathtub was slippery, The pool was closed and the breakfast room was poorly setup, we were tripping over other guests, though the food was tolerable. I have stayed at many Country Inns before and have never been so disappointed. They had no information about the waterfalls in the area.
