I checked into the Waldorf Astoria Atlanta and after 3 hours sent this text message to my husband: “I finally found my favorite hotel in the USA”. He certainly was surprised by this message because it only took me 30 years of travel to say it. I’ve stayed in hundred of hotels, and have several that I like and visit often. This hotel is special. Let me tell you why. My Hilton status and upgrade happened without me asking for it, a day or two before my arrival. My room was stunning, clean, and beyond comfortable. The Spa experience truly relaxes. While exploring the hotel and dining options, I encountered an angel. Her name is Margaret. She connected with me in a magical way, showed me around including taking me to the garden area. We had an amazing conversation, so I chose to dine at the hotel. My server (Roshad) extended superb service. Even the Chef Keith came from the kitchen to ask guests how they were enjoying their dinners. I was asked if I was celebrating anything. I informed them that I was on a work trip and will be celebrating my birthday next week. At the end of my meal, Margaret and Roshad brought a slice of tiramisu cake with a candle. They said that they wanted me to start celebrating early…. Speechless! To summarize my experience: this team is clearly trained to work as ONE, deliver flawless experiences and works towards one goal, a delighted customer. All staff members, from valet, front desk, restaurant, turn down and spa are charming, professional and give good energy. Congratulations to the GM, HR and the Leadership of this hotel for forming this Fantastic Team! I will come and visit again and bring my family next time. Thank you!
We had a wonderful lunch during our visit to Atlanta and the highlight of our trip was Arianna at the bar. What a great experience with the absolutely perfect Old Fashioned and exceptional service. As a Hilton Diamond member who frequents Waldorf all over the world this visit stood above due to her exceptional service.
Unbelievable treatment from Erin at the front desk yesterday. I'd flown in on a redeye from the west coast, no sleep, got to the hotel completely bedraggled. It was 8am - my room wasn't supposed to be available until 3pm and they were sold out the night before. But I desperately needed a quick nap before heading to a memorial service followed by a lunch, or I would be useless and probably ill. Erin didn't bat an eye - there was no rote recitation of hotel policy, no attempt to charge me a half-day for a room; none of the standard reactions. Instead, she called housekeeping and found the one room that had had a no-show the night before, and, even though it was an upgrade to a suite, she simply handed me the keys with a smile and wished me a good rest. It totally made my day, enabled me to engage with old friends and colleagues like a human being instead of a zombie, and allowed me to be productive the rest of the day. Lifesaver. This will be my go-to Atlanta hotel from now on - not just because of the gorgeous room and amenities and terrific restaurant with great wine selection - but because I know that they really care.
My husband and I love coming here. Jermaine with guest services really elevated our experience this visit in particular. He was knowledgeable and always quick to help. We love the amenities as well, such as the spa and fitness center. Always a relaxing stay!
Hats off to the management at Waldorf Astoria Buckhead! Every staff we encountered I mean literally everyone, they were very friendly and professional! Our room was immaculately clean! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The desk staff even made sure we get our F and B credit applied before we checked out. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Amazing attitudes and great work ethic are a rarity these days and to find both in a great hotel is so refreshing. My recent stay at the Waldorf Astoria Buckhead was perfect from the moment Carlos Pelaez checked me in. He was warm, consultative and accommodating. He provided great dinner recommendations, arranged for my driver and even connected me with the new general manager at the Waldorf in Cabo that I frequent often. His initial service was mirrored by the entire staff. The bartenders at the restaurant were great and the bar food was exceptional. The only weakness the hotel has is a lack of late night room service. I will stay often.
Close to Lenox and Phipps Malls
I didn’t get some important information when I checked in, such as Wi-Fi or checkout time. The valet ticket doesn’t tell you how to call for your car. The concierge service was so-so; they didn’t answer the phone when I called with questions.
One staff member told me to stop taking pictures with my “professional camera” (I was using a Cannon Powershot, that is a normal camera, totally inappropriate).
Beautiful and great location.
Nothing.
Breakfast was delicious. All of the Staff was very helpful and kind. My grown daughters said that felt like princesses 🥰
A bit more coffee in the small coffee pot and heavy cream available
Top notch all the way.
Everything was excellent
Very nice hotel and amenities. The staff were all very attentive from valet, front office, and the bar. The service in the breakfast area was explicit! Housekeeping team presented a very clean room and the stay over service was the best. Enjoyed every moment, thank you for such a wonderful stay.
Excellent stay at Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead!
Service was outstanding — Carlos provided a warm welcome, Sukru at Concierge was very helpful, and Snook in Food & Beverage was terrific.
Beautiful, quiet hotel in a great Buckhead location near Lenox and Phipps. A top-tier experience — we look forward to returning.
Convenient to shopping, and restaurants.
The hotel staff was amazing. The property was beautiful.
I enjoyed every aspect.
Le décor
Rien
Room was nice enough but lighting controls difficult to find and understand. There is an iPad like console in the room that is impossible to dim on the bedside and doesn’t control much ?
Breakfast service was terribly slow.
I did not get seated immediately, the waitress was not very visible and the earl grey tea i ordered was not Earl Grey and took fifteen minutes to show up.
When i ordered the breakfast the menu read two eggs any style but i was told that an omelet was not allowed under that category?
Anyhow - i would skip breakfast here and go somewhere local instead.
I had the opportunity to visit the spa for the first time at Waldorf Astoria, and I was amazed by the service I received! It was absolutely exceptional!! It stands out as true five-star luxury! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!!
