The water fountain and decor at the front entrance were nice. They definitely represented Alaska.
People at the front desk were very friendly and a pleasure to work with.
Bartender at happy hour and chef for morning breakfast. We’re always nice as well. Honestly, it was the happy hour and the breakfast that made the steak tolerable
Reservation was messed up. I had told the lady on the phone I needed a reservation through Friday and it was booked through Thursday. When I tried to extend a day, I was being charged over $200 more for that day than I was the other days. We packed our bags and left.
For two full days, there was trash left outside of two of the hotel rooms on our floor. I actually took pictures so that there were date stamped to show that I wasn’t making this up.
Online description said there was a hot tub. Yes there was a hot tub, but they neglected to say that it wasn’t working! Huge loss!!!!!
For the money that we pay daily, it’s a shame that I had to ask for service every day. I don’t expect somebody to come clean the entire room during our stay, but at least make the bed and make sure we have clean towels. For a Hilton, this should be bare minimum.
Hotel nice but female bartender needs some training on customer service. Side talk and treating customers like we are there for her… prefer to avoid after spending plenty on rooms for family…
We used this hotel as a base for our travels to different national parks in Alaska. It worked really well. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and the hotel lobby and public areas are well maintained. The hotel is within walking distance of grocery stores and a few fast food restaurants.
Great hotel. Clean and staff are excellent.
I recently had the pleasure of working with David Douthit in the Sales Dept. He is helping us arrange an event for August and he is fabulous to work with. He is quick to return calls, very concise and professional, and flexible with our special requests. This is a great, central location with tons of parking. I would highly recommend booking an event at the Embassy Suites in Anchorage.
This is exactly the hotel my family and I needed after a disappointing stay at another hotel. The most convenient amenity in this property is the card operated laundry room (We had a bunch of laundry after traveling for a few days) and this saved us from having to find a laundromat! Hotel location is about 10 minutes away from Alaska railroad station, which was very convenient for our morning train. I especially want to recognize Grace (Front Desk staff) for the fantastic support and service right from our checkin time!
Lovely property with a traditional lodge feel but without the stuffy stodgy element. Very comfortable with well appointed rooms. Artwork and fountain with the open air lobby is inviting and welcoming.
Indoor pool and gym, laundry services, mini-market and in house restaurant and bar. Breakfast was excellent.
Food was satisfactory
No towels in room had to ask for them they did not clean room until we ask at end of stay
The advertisement said sleeps 4 but only one bed and couch so we had to pay $75 per day extra
For $2000 we expected much better
Even ran out of toilet paper
I understand, it is the end of summer, and rates are going to be high. However, for the price, it was not ideal ($6489.42 for 3 nights) - we had a 2 bedroom suite room -mountain view. The mountains are in the distance, way passed the subway and other fast food signs. Our room is on the corner next to the street, very close to an intersection. So, loud music from cars waiting at the lights and accelerating/peeling out cars go throughout the day past 11pm. We are right across the street from a grocery store, which is great. However, we ended up being approached by 2 homeless individuals. We did not feel like we were in danger, only because of my 250lb husband and his do not mess with my family stare. The front desk staff is not very friendly and abruptly interrupts any questions, or concerns you have with a can't do anything about it answer - we asked at 5pm, that if they were unable to clean our room, to please help with 4 large bath towels exchange only. She said FINE, 3 sets, we said, no, no need, only 4 bath towels since we have 5 people and are trying to reuse towels - she hang up on us and about 5 mins later, a nice older gentlemen came and delivered 5 sets of towels to us. The morning buffet is ok, the grill had an excellent chef (of Puerto Rican origin maybe), except when he is not doing the cooking, then, everything is either burnt or raw. Overall, I read through many hotel reviews before booking and believe most of the hotels are all in this same level.

Really enjoyed our stay. It’s in a very convenient location and the staff is very friendly. The library area with the pool table was really fun for our teenagers. The hotel was very clean and felt updated. The breakfast staff was excellent and everything was so tasty. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
I have stayed here before. Excellent property. The staff have always been very nice and helpful. This stay was no different. I would like to personally thank Whit, who was working the front desk. He was extremely friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond to help myself and friends.
The property has always been very clean and rooms in excellent condition. Plenty of food options in the area. The breakfast was awesome. The vibe and decorations feel like Alaska. Awesome!
Highly recommend!!
