Zeer fijn hotel op een toplocatie!
Pros:

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, erg behulpzaam. De ruimte na de receptie om in alle rust een theetje of wat anders te drinken is erg fijn en heel relaxed.
Kamers ruim en zeer netjes. Algehele indruk hotel is top!

Meine Buchung einer Gesichtsmassage wurde storniert, ohne Grund. Der PA wollte mir das lange anlasten, "ich hätte ja storniert". Ich musste ihn per alten mails mühsam davon überzeugen, dass das Hotel sich vertan hatte. Eine Entschuldigung mußte ich ihm mühsam abringen. ich war anfangs sehr kooperativ, Fehler macht jeder. Auch wenn diese Behandlung 1 Woche vor der Hochzeit meiner Tochter für uns ein Highlight sein sollte, hätte ich keinen Ärger gemacht. Aber dieses ignorante, gleichgültige und auch noch mich beschuldigende Verhalten fand ich kränkend, ärgerlich und rein gar nicht dem Stil des Hauses entsprechend. Sehr sehr schade, sonst sind alle immer supernett. Fehler kann man machen, aber dann stehen Sie bitte dazu!

We were visiting Dusseldorf for our first time. The hotel / location are perfect.
Pros:

The location is simply perfect. The staff are very friendly / supportive. The Room / beds are very comfortable.

Cons:

The Wifi in the room is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel, but that's such a small detail.
However, the ongoing renovations were not explained to us when we checked in and frankly I do not expect to hear jack hammering in my room from above. It ended by 18:00 on Friday so all good! Granted I know this is NOT an easy task / thing to manage at any time of the year, all I would expect is to be notified at check in. I would have been fine with that.
This is much better way to find out then on your own. It is not sufficient to say a notification buried on the bottom of your website is sufficient. I don't think you would have had much / any push back for your guests. Just a common curtsy that's all.

Pros:

We had an overall pleasant stay at Breidenbacher Hof and understand why the hotel receives recognition for its service and atmosphere. The staff was professional and friendly throughout our stay.

The restaurants served very good food with a high standard of quality. However, the pricing was exceptionally high, even by luxury hotel standards. While we expected premium prices, the restaurant prices still felt excessive at times.

Cons:

There were also some disappointing aspects. Our room suffered from a significant amount of street noise, which made it difficult to sleep properly during the night. For a hotel in this category, we expected much better sound insulation. The rooms themselves are spacious and comfortable, but the interior feels somewhat dated and could benefit from renovation and modernization.

Overall, a solid luxury hotel experience with excellent service and dining quality, but the noise levels, aging rooms and very high pricing kept it from feeling truly exceptional.
