Location within Chelmsford
Room right on the road (busy!) yet same cost as all others, and really this room should be given last when hotel is not full! Which it wasn’t the night I stayed
Great breakfast, plenty of parking and friendly, happy staff.
My room was on the main road, the noise from 5 am was not ideal. Surely rooms on busy main roads are usually fitted with triple glazing?
Nice sized room with a comfy bed and tea making facilities. Great central location for our stay.
The shower was basic. Temperature would change when you caught the tap with your body.

I was in a budget room as I was only staying one night. Unfortunately it was in another building right alongside a busy noisy road.

I liked the location close to rhe city,I could walk to the cathedral in a few moments,the hotel was very nice and the breakfast was super.

The apartment was brilliant. Well furnished and so many little helpful touches such as milk, box of tissues, dishwasher and washing machine tablets.
Coffee machine was great and there was a great selection in the tea tray.
The Reception staff were super, really helpful and welcoming and went out of their way to help us with our 2 year old granddaughter.
The whole hotel had a pleasant feel and we woukd definately stay there again.

Everything great and very comfortable and location perfect
The shower was not safe at all with no temperature safe regulation and you could burn as it gets hot to boiling and doesn’t have safety feature to prevent this. Loose fitting on hook and flew off when touched. The shower unit was warped and couldn’t stand on it and not overweight at all. Check in was so late I had to leave and return to check in after the event
The room was very big and spacious and the air con was a god send on the hottest day of the year!
The hotel does look a bit old fashioned and run down in places and could do with a revamp.
Also think to pay that price per night, parking should be included as a guest and not extra!
