We stayed for two nights at the end of our Sicily trip.
It is a 22 minute walk from Syracuse train station - although that was tough in 41 degree heat 🥵.
Arriving in Ortigia I thought we’d made a poor choice of location as we saw many abandoned and derelict buildings but the hotel was lovely and just a couple of minutes walk from the heart of Ortigia with its quaint streets and impressive architecture.
We had a room on the third floor with French doors to a tiny outside area - not possible to sit in but handy for drying clothes.
The room was cosy, although the set up was odd with one side of the bed very close to the French doors.
Air conditioning worked well as did the Wi-Fi and the fridge was re-stocked daily with water and soda.
The breakfast was particularly good with a wide variety of choices.
Location was good - not right in the busy part of Ortigia but just a short walk away.
Breakfast was very good and staff very pleasant.

Abbiamo mangiato benissimo al ristorante e anche sulla colazione nulla da dire (molte proposte vegane).
La forma della doccia era un po’ scomoda.
Emplacement idéal pour découvrir la vieille ville, personnels chaleureux et attentifs, très bel hôtel à la décoration soignée, très bon petit déjeuner. Beaucoup d’attentions portées aux hôtes.
Le coût du parking (nécessaire) un peu élevé, et l’absence d’une terrasse extérieure pour prendre un verre ou dîner au restaurant de l’hôtel.

Le mini bar gratuit ce qui permet d’avoir de l’eau fraîche régulièrement, très agréable en période de grosses chaleurs
Le personnel pas très aimable, ni très empressé à vous aider. On a plutôt l’impression de les déranger.
Le ménage notamment de la salle de bains ( s’est amélioré après une réclamation )
L’absence totale de tiroirs : il y a une penderie mais aucun tiroir pour ranger les tee-shirts, sous vêtements etc … : ce n’est pas très pratique.
L’insonorisation intérieure de l’hôtel est un peu limite : on entend tout ce qui se passe dans le couloir
