Algilà Ortigia Charme Hotel

This place is a real beauty ! Right on the sea. Very clean and the staff cannot do enough for you. They go above and beyond ! The breakfast is sooooo good ! The rooms are so cute and clean. What a lovely stay. I cannot stress enough how amazing every staff member was. Thank you !

The staff at the hotel were the stars of the show here. Every one of them constantly went above and beyond to ensure each guest was comfortable and well cared for. Adriana was an absolute delight at the front desk and constantly checking on us. At breakfast, Enzo and piero’s attentiveness went above and beyond. There was another young lady at breakfast that memorized my order and brought it to me without even asking (curly hair). I was impressed with the impeccable service by everyone here. They even have a complimentary mini bar in your room that is constantly replenished.

One recommendation to the hotel- a full length mirror in the room would have been helpful. There is one in the bathroom, but placement makes it difficult to use.

Booked a Double Seaview room. Disappointed to learn room with 2 balconies in this category, as shown on website, and requested the week before was not available upon check-in. Assigned a room on 2nd floor that was approximately 10x12 (US Standard), or about 11 meters. Needless to say, super tiny room and not very comfortable for 2 nights. There was no where to put luggage or unpack. We kept one suitcase on the luggage rack and the other on a small bench we removed from the bathroom. Our room was on the 2nd floor which is open to the reception area below so you hear noise from 1st floor. Water view is nice but lots of street noise,(ie:motorcycles.) Would not stay here again; poor value for the amount of money we paid. Very disappointed with the room.

This hotel was so charming and just lovely. The staff was remarkable. The check in desk did everything they could to make us feel welcome. The breakfast staff went above and beyond and the housekeeping staff was very professional and kept our room immaculate.
Also, the location was phenomenal.
I highly recommend this boutique hotel when you visit.

Location! Location!
A solid first class hotel with exceptional service. At this time of year it was a quiet hotel. Our particular room and bathroom was very comfortable, I slept great. The second floor of our suite, and second bathroom was not needed. The breakfast was very good, the best of all our hotels while touring Sicily. The front desk staff were truly a delight.

Absolutely stunning hotel, wonderful staff, comfortable rooms, everything you can think of for breakfast too! Great location, a few little bars around the corner, easy walk to plenty of shopping and other area restaurants. We are so glad we spent two nights here and would have loved to stay longer! We stayed in a room with a view of the ocean and a hot tub on our balcony! Perfection!

Booked a superior double for 4 nites. Upon arrival, escorted across the street from the hotel to an additional building and given a room adjacent to loud construction noise/activity from 9 to 5 (see attached pictures) and a view of a porta potty. Impossible to be in the room during this time. Translucent glass in the bathroom allows lighting up the whole room when one goes to the restroom at night, waking anyone else in the room. Breakfast was chaotic and one must flag down the waitstaff to order. Paint was scraped off the passenger rear fender of the rental car under the valet's care. We regretted staying here and saw several better options on the island while exploring.

What a surprise!!! This hotel is just beautiful and our room in the new building was so spacious and comfortable. The free amenities were surprisingly wonderful - we fell in love with the brand of shampoo/conditioner provided. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The bar closed early on Sunday and the gentleman at the front desk opened it by getting us drinks and a snack. The areas to relax in are beautifully appointed and we enjoyed spending time in them. Probably the BEST feature is the location. It is perfect to get just about anywhere quickly on the island. I will be recommending this hotel for a stay in Ortigia. And book a tuk tuk tour with Apes tours - we had such fun!!
