It was in a good location for our purposes and the car park was very secure. The breakfast was very good. The shower was great and there was a generous allocation of teas and coffees.
The room was very warm, we should have opened a window (but we were on ground floor) and the plastic mattress protector made for a sweaty nights sleep.

There's nothing as sd all good
Cozy, family-run hotel. Good breakfast. The rooms located at the back of the hotel were nice and peaceful. It was nice having a private fridge in the room.
The furnishing and cleanliness of the rooms could be improved a little.
The reviews I read were spot on. The hotel is maybe a little tired but it was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent. Secure parking to boot. What's not to like.
The toilet was not clean, there were stains all over the desk, there were dusty cobwebs coming down from the ceiling and the toilet door was held open with a piece of toilet paper. Unsure but I believe there is mould all over the bathroom ceiling? Staff were not easy to converse with for a refund request.
We liked the old fashioned hotel. Felt like we stepped back in time. The brothers who ran the hotel were very efficient and helpful.

The man on reception was incredibly rude and hostile immediately on entry.

If you review this on price over quality it has to be a 10. Ok, the hotel could really do with a facelift and modernisation, but I'm sure then the price would double. As it is, you get a clean comfortable bed, reasonable shower, friendly, efficient staff and a surprisingly good breakfast at a fantastic price.
