Everything! I just wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again one day. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in.
Nothing!
Super disappointing. I booked a two-night stay through Priceline about 15 minutes before arriving for a last-minute trip. Given the Deer Valley location and the high price, I expected a solid, comfortable experience. What we got fell well short.
Parking is confusing and poorly marked on arrival. The only option is underground parking at $40 per night—an extra charge that was never mentioned during booking. That alone added a meaningful cost that wasn’t transparent upfront.
The room itself was surprisingly small—noticeably smaller than rooms at most newer hotels. The property feels older (though generally well-kept), but the details were disappointing. The wet bar sink was broken, and the refrigerator was so loud it kept us awake the entire night. The three pillows on the king-size bed felt like oversized cotton swabs—hot, dense, and uncomfortable.
As soon as we saw the room, I went back to the front desk and asked to cancel the second night. They refused to cancel the second night, although it had literally only been about 30 minutes since I had booked it. We stayed the one night, got almost no sleep because of the fridge noise, and left the next day despite having already paid for two nights. I asked to speak to a manager about a refund in the morning, and they refused to allow me to speak to a manager and indicated they had already talked to the manager about my request, and it was denied.
Between the parking fee and other add-ons, the final cost ran roughly 25% higher than the rate shown on Priceline and similar sites. For the price and the Deer Valley address, this was a significant letdown. There are far better options in Park City at lower rates, and even the Grand America in Salt Lake City would have been a better value.
Although it was in Deer Valley, it is not within walking distance of anything. There is no view, and unless you are skiing, there is zero advantage to staying in that location. Even if you were skiing, you would need a shuttle to get anywhere.
I would not stay here again and would not recommend it. The combination of opaque fees, a tiny room with maintenance issues, and a hard no-refund stance made for a frustrating experience.
I found the staff to be uncommonly dedicated and helpful. There was a minor snafu with our reservation and I wanted to specifically thsnk Temple and Patrick, the night manager, for going above and beyond.
The location was breathtaking. The property and it's atmosphere was spot on. The room was perfect and the staff are so nice and professional. The price point for this property and it's amenities were great.
We will definitely plan a return trip in our future travels.
Everything started well calling directly to the resort and speaking with Judy and reservations. She made everything smooth and streamline. Then once I got my reservationTemple took over as one of the most efficient and most caring concierge service I’ve ever worked with in 28 years in the hotel industry. All the staff at the hotel were nicely groomed, very courteous and impeccable service.
We came up to the Chateaux for my moms birthday this year! Everyone was so friendly right from the get go. Our server Kevin and server in training Helen made sure that everything was exactly to order and brought to us nice and hot. (The gnocchi is to die for) The hotel hosted a family smores and movie night out in the court yard with lawn games like yard pong and corn hole to get everyone out on the floor. What a fun experience to eat popcorn out on the lawn while roasting smores with the family! Overall a wonderful night spent celebrating with Mom and the rest of the family.
Outstanding service. Beautiful room. Excellent food
Each and every staff member made our experience amazing! If you want to go someplace where you’re treated like the most honored guests look no further. From location to amenities and dining to room appointment … you won’t be disappointed! Already dreaming of when we can go back!
The Chateaux is so nice and we had a great time! I love how the rooms connect so that the group has privacy and yet plenty of common space to gather together.
We attended a movie night on the lawn with free popcorn, S'mores, and sodas. There were outdoor games, music, and "The Sandlot" on a giant screen. It was a wonderful family-friendly atmosphere and so much fun!
The hotel lobby and restaurant were beautiful and the food was delicious. The staff was awesome, especially the front desk, our restaurant servers Helen and Kevin, and our shuttle driver, Hawkeye!
Absolutely loved our stay at Chateaux DV, this was our first time doing this type of trip in the summer. We loved the accessibility of the hotel, the views from the pool & breakfast location were amazing. Brian and Temple from the logistics and concierge team were fantastic. They helped with their restaurant and activities recommendations and were always so friendly and easy to talk to. Would definitely go back! Actually, cant wait to go back!
Enjoyed my stay at The Chateaux with my daughters, grandbaby, son-in-law and his mother for my birthday. I was greeted with a birthday card and macaroons. The 3 bedroom suite we had was so clean, comfortable, bright and just stunning. Had plenty of space but we were still all together. Couldnt even hear my grandbaby all night. Dinner at Cina was a treat. Kevin and Helen took great care in taking care of making sure our evening was amazing. I had the Venison and it was cooked to perfection, the flavors complimented so well. We spent the rest of the evening in the courtyard watching an outdoor movie making smores and eating popcorn (all complimentary btw) When we got chilly they brought us blankets! The beds were so comfy I went right to sleep. I have stayed here a couple times and each time I return they make it that much more special.
It was amazing! Everyone was so nice
The newly renovated lobby and restaurant were beautiful. The room was gorgeous and equipped with everything we may need to support our stay. We ate at Cena for dinner where Helen and Kevin were attentive and served us our meal that was delicious. We also attended a family movie night hosted by the hotel. During the event we received complimentary smore kits and drinks as we waited for the movie to begin in the courtyard. The next day, Hawkeye shuttuled us down to mainstreet. He provided good insight on where to go to enjoy the parade.
The Chateaux Deer Valley is a beautiful hotel for an Utah mountain getaway! The location provides a great area to explore Park City, Salt Lake City and surrounding areas. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is a great place to spend time relaxing. The fire pits and s’mores kits provide evening fun for both kids and adults. The atmosphere is generally peaceful. One of the best things is Cena- the resort restaurant. Every meal we had was delicious and the staff is attentive and friendly! This is our second summer trip to the Chateaux. We will be returning for another visit!
The stay, the peacefulness, the breakfast was over the top quality food and service.
We definitely need a king bed next time.
A lovely hotel with a nice outlook and good facilities.
We had two rooms in separate buildings, which you had to walk outside to go from one to the other. Dining room was also in the other building so in poor weather it’s not great.
The breakfast buffet was very good. The location is fantastic. The pool and hot tub were great.
The front of the property was under construction. $40 for overnight parking was unexpected and too high. There were only three somewhat small pillows on the king size bed.
Chateaux Deer Valley was a lovely place to stay and to host our meeting. All staff were very accommodating and pleasant to work with. Catering was top notch and Billy and his team excelled in customer service. Guest rooms were unbelievable in amenities and cleanliness. I appreciated the under counter motion activated lights. Very thoughtful.
