Room was

Location great. Staff great. Room was very clean and comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was a bit limited. Nothing but greasy foods. No whole grains, no wheat products. Only white bread and greasy meats. The limited fruit choices were there, but not in the best of condition. Tangerines had black spots, apples were soft, overripe. Very few healthy choices.
By design, the only words for the elevator is IT SUCKED. The entry hall to the elevator on all floors is miniscule and barely accommodate two (skinny) people. It was like herding sheep into a shearing chute. Everyone had to crowd past each other to get in and out of the elevator.
They were renovating the pool, which is understandable. But the back patio was crowded with materials and supplies, the tables were turned over and set aside and the chairs were stacked in the middle of a bush. This basically eliminated all use of the patio. Someone dragged up a table and chairs for under the awning, but that only accommodated four people when it started to rain. It made the patio useless for everyone else. Poor planning, poor judgement.
This hotel has been renovated since our stay last year. Lobby was nicer - brighter, welcoming. Room was updated, clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a variety of choices.

Didn't know the pool wasn't open
The staff was wonderful. Had issue with door late in evening and Ethan was wonderful and helped.
The hotel needs updated. Tub showers and pretty much everything else. It was a ok place to stay but for almost $200 a night. You think it would be better. Staff was nice and friendly. The pool was closed. Grand kids wanted to swim but it was closed. Pillows were very small and not comfortable.
Room was nice, roomy and had a private living area.
