Great location for a vacation with the family
Pros:

This is my second time coming to the Best Western in padre Island.
It's in walking distance to the beach.


My first was this year, June 4th through the 10th.

My second was October 15th through the 21st.

The hotel has always been clean and smells good. You can tell the staff works hard taking care of the rooms hallways and the hotel.

Both times I have come. The staff has been amazing.

Raul, the manager, is a people person.

He walks around the hotel.  He makes sure everyone is doing well and there are no issues. If there are any, he will address them and resolve them quickly.

Karina is the day shift front desk manager.
She is friendly and personable and will enjoy talking with you. She also takes care of any concerns you might have. She will give you suggestions on where to go on the island too.

Ted is the mid shift front associate. He is friendly. He is able to help you with any of your needs as well.

This hotel has a free breakfast that is good with a variety of food. There are two people I come to know, Liz and Nestor, both are very good staying on top of things keep the food coming.  They will always greet you as you are severing yourself with a smile and help you in any way.

Poor Stay at Best Western Beachside
Pros:

Location was ok, breakfast was average.

Cons:

1) Staff could not find my reservation and I was not given room I reserved on Bopking.com.
2) Housekeeping was every other day, we were not told at check in. Web site says daily housekeeping.
3) Safe was not working, staff had to called to open.
4) Security lights at back door was poor, needs to be replaced. This is a liability and security issue.
5) I was over charged for my room.
Will not stay at this hotel again.

The service was exceptional, with staff members who were attentive and eager to help at all times. The beach access was excellent and one of the highlights of the stay. The parking facilities were outstanding and very convenient. Additionally, the location was perfect, providing easy access to local attractions both on foot and by car.

Cons:

While my stay was overall acceptable, there were several areas that need improvement. The breakfast was uninspiring and offered limited variety. The pillows were uncomfortable, which impacted sleep quality. Additionally, the room did not appear to have been thoroughly vacuumed prior to my arrival. The chair was old and showed significant signs of wear. Finally, the furniture seemed too large for the room, making the space feel crowded and reducing overall comfort.

Overall, average stay. Expected better since we’ve stayed at other La Quinta Hotels and they’ve been excellent.
Pros:

Property was close to seaworld. We were worried about theft but they had a security parked outside at night which was good. Staff was nice and helpful. Right next to a Bubba’s.

Cons:

Room was clean but the floor was sticky/humid like if they cleaned with a swifter only. Pillows were small and bed comforts could be better/thicker. They also messed up my checkout details even though I booked through booking. A lady with curly hair and glasses helped me out and fixed my booking. Didn’t get her name but grateful for her help.
