Aparthotel Tropic Garden

There were some positives to our stay, but unfortunately several aspects of the hotel fell below expectations.

The vegan options available at breakfast were quite limited, particularly within the hot breakfast selection, so more variety would be good.

The small children’s pool was much smaller than expected, and the main pool area appeared to require maintenance. Both of my daughters suffered cuts to their feet due to uneven or damaged tiles in the pool, which was concerning from a safety perspective. In addition, some of the “Selected” areas did not offer easy access to or visibility of the main pool, making it difficult to supervise children.

I was also disappointed by an interaction with a member of the outdoor bar staff who spoke to me quite rudely when I brought a drink from the Selected area — which I had paid to access — to the main pool so I could stay closer to my children. I found this unnecessary and unprofessional.

The deck chairs around the main pool were also fairly uncomfortable.

We had a room with a hot tub, which was a lovely feature; however, it was not cleaned during our stay, so we only used it once. The tiles surrounding the hot tub also became extremely slippery when wet, and unfortunately my daughter slipped, fell, and cut open her chin!

Overall, while the hotel has potential and some nice features, there are several areas where improvements in maintenance, safety, customer service, and comfort are needed.

Breakfast was awful. So busy and noisy and terrible food. Avoid.
Rooms really stuffy and due a renovation.

Het is een hotel vooral voor families en gezinnen dus er waren veel kinderen aanwezig. Op zich helemaal prima maar als koppel was dit hotel voor ons net iets te druk druk, vooral bij ontbijt. Dat is niet negatief, gewoon een vaststelling :-)

Het is duur geworden voor het type accommodatie en er waren werkzaamheden bij het zwembad

La vétusté de certains équipements (jacuzzi, sauna HS, aire de jeux pour enfants, etc.).
La relative propreté des chambres (les sols en particulier).
Les massages ne sont pas à la hauteur d'un établissement 4* (je parle de l'équipement en particulier, dans une petite pièce aménagée très sommairement pour cela, quasiment dans la salle de sport ; la masseuse, elle, est très bien).

Jacuzzi was gloeiend heet, water werd niet koud. Er zou een klusjesman komen, deze is nooit geweest. Ook deed de afzuiging van de badkamer het niet. Dat is niet zo fijn als er iemand naar het toilet was geweest! Ook hier zou naar gekeken worden maar ook daar is nooit iemand geweest.

Met een peuter was het soms lastig dat het zwembad pas om 10.00 'open' gaat, inclusief pierenbadje. Als je dan rond 9.00 van het ontbijt komt is het moeilijk uitleggen dat hij nog een uur niet mag zwemmen.

Helaas wordt er veelvuldig extreem hard met kamerdeuren gegooid, erg irritant (voornamelijk vanwege de gasten zelf die niet normaal met deuren kunnen omgaan). Hierdoor zat je soms echt rechtop in je bed omdat het best wel galmt in de gangen. Ook deed onze kamer wel wat vochtig aan. Dit was nu nog behapbaar, maar als het echt heet wordt lijkt het me niet de fijnste kamer om te verblijven.

Wat betreft de tijden van het eten, is het opzich te doen met kleine kinderen, mits je je er goed op instelt dat je hoogstwaarschijnlijk je ritme van thuis even flink moet aanpassen. Lunch begint namelijk om 13 en avondeten om 19, dus we moesten de eerste dagen wat trucjes uithalen om het te redden tot die tijden ;).

Helaas vonden wij de koffie en de wijnen uit de automaten in het restaurant echt ondermaats (eigenlijk gewoon vies). Gelukkig schonken ze bij de bars wel betere koffie.

de zwembaden zaten vol met chloor. Vooral de jacuzzi binnen. de zwembroeken vcan de kinderen zijn helemaal verkleurd. ogen deden erg pijn. Ook was mijn vrouw make up kwijt na de schoonmaak deze stond in de magnetron van de kamer. Deze 2 voorvallen gemeld bij de receptie en hebben hiervoor netjes excuses gemaakt.
