A lovely place to stay on Lipari
Pros:

I loved everything about Hotel Aktea, starting with the warm and welcoming staff at the front desk (special shout out to both Concettas and Alessandra), to the breakfast maitre de' Simone and waitress Manuela, and the entire staff. My room was clean and quiet, with a large comfortable bed, and a balcony with a lovely view of the sea. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of pastries, fruit, yogurt, breads and cakes. The front desk were so helpful in arranging day excursions, car rental and restaurant recommendations. While I didn't partake of the swimming pool, it was very inviting and beautiful. A short 5 minute walk to the town makes this the perfect place to stay while visiting Lipari.

Cons:

The only comment I have is that they charged extra for scrambled eggs. That was unexpected and disappointing.

Hotel is ok but was expecting a bit more for a 4stars
Pros:

Staff courtesy and helpfulness to accommodate our request of late check out.
We forgot a pair of sandals in the room and they brought them to us at the harbour before our ferry departure. Big thank You!
Nice sunrise front the terrace.

Cons:

Sunbeds on poolside were old despite season yet to begin
Breakfast variety and quality could be improved. E.g. Scrambled eggs have to be paid as extra and only from 09:00 despite breakfast starts at 07:30

Des promenades et des paysages de rêve.
Pros:

Communication aisée, personnel très pro et à l'écoute. Chambre spacieuse. Manque peut-être un plateau de courtoisie. Mais rien qui aurait entaché notre séjour sur cette île magnifique.

Loved it, and will return next year!
Pros:

Concetta at the front desk was very sweet and helpful, as well as the wonderful staff in the beautiful dining area. The cleaning staff were also very sweet and helpful and did a wonderful job taking care of my room.

Cons:

As I experienced in most of Sicily (26 days), the mattresses are not like home, but I think that is just how it is there.
