It wasn't made clear that there was a $40 surcharge for bringing a pet. Only discovered this when it was deducted from my account.

Only problem the lift.
Pros:

Cons:

Lift was out of service for a few hours . Not good at our age to climb to level 4 , surely we should have been offered a service lift, which I presume they have.

Lounge was too low. Uncomfortable.
Hessian mat in bedroom very rough on bare feet. Looked hideous. Double for the so called ?on the wall..receptionists need to speak english better. Hard to understnd them.

Helpful staff, accessible room and good location for medical appointment.
Pros:

Staff went out of their way to accommodate my elderly parents and the room was perfect for them. Construction next door is unfortunate for thsi business but with doors closed, it wasn't too much of a problem. Location was good for a hospital appointment.

Awful! Stay anywhere but the Mantra.
Pros:

Nothing to like about this old place. Every wall was marked and stained carpets. Freezer was dirty. Has not been maintained. Find a better place to stay.

Cons:

Difficult and rude front desk staff, argued about the price of the parking because they haven’t updated their details on this site. They make you leave a credit card on file for $100 bond for any damages yet the place is horrible! Major construction work going on right next door so all you can hear is jackhammering and trucks from 8am - 5pm, this was only told to us after we had paid and it was non refundable. We only chose the Mantra because it had a washing machine and dryer. Both of which didn’t not work properly! They offered us to use the machines in a different room on a different floor but wouldn’t just move us into that room, they didn’t even know if those machines in that room would work either! Supposed to have complementary biscuits and water but no water was in the room so we had to ask, just like they didn’t supply the wifi code we had to request it.

Frustrating to have bad kitchen and laundry equipment in apartment when paying premium prices.

Cons:

Apartment was not very clean.
Kitchen knives were blunt making cooking hard, not enough crockery, old and very poor quality cooktop and dishwasher. Very temperamental dryer. Not enough dish washing liquid or dishwasher powder.

Won’t stay again.
Pros:

The room was spacious.

Cons:

Stairs at the entry, no ramp access, this meant I had to lug my luggage up the stairs (my car is too tall to fit in the parking underground) not a very welcoming reception. The whole place needs a proper upgrade, the bed was hard as a rock and the furniture all needs replacing. For $440 for the night it was not worth the price. Upstairs walking/jumping around until close to mid night then they were up at 4:55am. So no sleep, uncomfortable bed, questionable stains, marks all over the walls.
Please, have a proper clean of the rooms and halls. Proper paint, then maybe it would be worth almost $500 a night to stay!

Pros:

I like how close the hotel is to the town centre meant we could just explore Wollongong without driving everywhere. We also love its dog friendly and the cleaning fee isnt overpriced. Its quite clean and modern for reasonable prices this is our second visit and we will be back again.

Cons:

Just the construction sites next door but hotel cant help that and the room was still quite sound proof even with the construction right next door.
