Good place to stay but eat nothing but breakfast in the restaurant
Pros:

All good, especially room, staff and breakfast

Cons:

The evening meal was expensive and very poor quality food. I had fish and chips and the fish was barely edible, still had the skin on the fish and looked to be over a year old

nice hotel that ticked boxes for our needs
Pros:

the hotel is being renovated and re-branded into Holiday Inn. It is conveniently placed for our needs, otherwise in the middle of what appear to be an office quarter. Currently the area looks abandoned. Breakfast was great, as well as the staff.

Cons:

it was great deal for our stay. I’d prefer if the second bed is a proper bed and not the folding one. Non-one can comfortably sleep on this one.

Clean Hotel, Service and Maintenance Disappointing
Pros:

The hotel was generally clean and well-maintained; Staff were polite and generally friendly.

Cons:

There was constant noise throughout the day due to ongoing refurbishment work, which made it difficult to relax.

Additionally, the shower pressure was very poor, and hot water was not available during my stay. Despite reporting the issue to reception twice, no one came to inspect or resolve it.

Another inconvenience was that the phone in the room was not functioning, so whenever we needed assistance or wanted to request food, we had to go down to reception in person.

I hope these issues can be addressed, as they significantly impacted an otherwise comfortable stay. IHG hotels have a good reputation but this one was below average but I'm going to put it down to thr refurbishment activities this time before ot turns into a holiday inn.

Friendly. Efficient. Great for a meeting at Putteridge Bury.
Pros:

Both receptionists on duty were very friendly and the room was fine. The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

I just found the room quite dark to be honest. I kept looking for the 'main' lights to turn them on - but there were only side lights. It felt a bit gloomy.
But the room was large and comfortable.

Good stay
Pros:

It was clean and had everything you needed. The reception staff were helpful welcoming and polite.

Cons:

The restaurant staff were very disorganised and got my order incorrect. It seemed that they did this with several tables.
