I have never received a less welcoming reception at a Marriott property. I arrived at 5:30pm, well after the 4:00pm check in time. My room was not ready. I had to wait nearly an hour for the room to be ready. Several other guests arrived after me and were told the same thing, so apparently, not an uncommon thing.
There is an overpowering deodorizer being used in the lobby that makes it impossible to sit in the very comfortable lobby seating area or to eat in the adjacent dining room. I suspect it is because the hotel apparently caters to people with pets; it smells like a mixture of the very overpowering deodorizer and wet dog.
The A/C in my room was not functioning which I immediately reported. We were offered a fan. I mentioned it again the next morning. Still not repaired! I was there two nights, IN AUGUST, with malfunctioning A/C. That is completely unacceptable.
I requested housekeeping during our stay and was told that two nights was not enough of a stay to warrant housekeeping. I’ve never heard of such a thing at a Marriott.
Other than the unfriendly morose greeting we received, the rest of the staff I encountered in the halls were cheerful and helpful.
I stay at many Marriott properties, but, will certainly never stay at this property again.
Bathrooms need a refresh
breakfast was ok, but not the best. I like they had washer and dryers on the facility. The front desk people were friendly and helpful.
We were situated near a noisy dog in one of the guest rooms. At the breakfast some breads were not fresh and the eggs tasted funny. There was poop in the grassy areas in the parking lot in the front of the hotel, so when loading and unloading you had to step carefully. One of the elevators was broken over the entire weekend so the wait was long at times.
The location
The room wasn’t clean. The sheets and pillow cases were dirty. There were two spiders under the pillow and the bath tub wasn’t cleaned at all. The roll of paper towel in the kitchen era of the room was old it turned yellow.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The space is well maintained. We have stayed here for years when visiting my brother who lives nearby and the hotel remains spotless.
There was tape on our windows, I'm assuming to keep out the drafty air.
