We liked Everything.
After a thorough research of reviews of different hotels within the 4*, Le Marceau Bastille met all our queries. When we arrived and stayed there, it even exceeded our expectations:
1- entrance to the hotel: a very very small step from the street so you don’t have to worry about stairs especially if you have a lot of luggages as we did (3 big pieces)
2- the front desk personnel: super welcoming, super helpful, very friendly and overall amazing. Special thanks to the whole team and special thanks to Alexandra, Kevin and Yassin!
3- the lift / elevator: this is a hidden gem in Paris; 2 lifts, modern, fast and spacious enough for 3 people and 3 luggages.
4- the room (302): another hidden gem in Paris; spacious enough to fit in people and luggage, well lit and with a very comfortable bed and pillows that you’d want to sleep in a little more.
The Airconditioner/ ac worked perfectly and it was easily adjustable from the room to the required temperature. It will make you happy if you happen during a Paris heatwave, luckily we didn’t.
The bathroom is spacious enough with bathtub/shower.
The water pressure was pretty good in the shower, hot water readily available too.
The French nougat as a welcome gift on the bed was a cute gesture.
5- Cleaniliness: very very clean hotel with a nice light scent. The room was perfectly cleaned everyday! Thank you so much to the housekeeping lady.
6- Breakfast: another hidden gem in Paris; a variety of fresh items (fruits, dried fruits, tasty bread, croissants and pain au chocolat), boiled eggs and scrambled eggs, cheese platter with smoked salmon -i liked the salmon so much-, jam, butter, cereals, juice and good quality coffee and good quality tea selection.
7- Water: there’s a water fountain at the reception where you can fill your own bottle or take a glass or a glass bottle to bring to your room: very nice find.

The hotel is perfectly convenient for the Gare de Lyon but is on a quiet side street. Inside it is modern with colourful art on the walls. The rooms and breakfast are everything you would expect for a 4 star hotel. Superb. Adorable kind staff.

Zeer goed hotel voor een voor Parijs redelijke prijs in vergelijking met andere 4 sterren hotels.
Locatie in een rustiger niet zo toeristisch drukke buurt maar toch niet ver van centrum
Honesty bar met ook gratis gekoeld water is bijzonder leuk
Goed ontbijt - vriendelijk personeel
en ook ; zeer goede airco - belangrijk in deze periode van canicule...
Vlak bij de opera Bastille voor de liefhebbers van opera

First, wonderful accueil which is so important in France. Second, the location is perfect. You are less than a 8 minute walk to Bastille station with Lines 1, 5, and 8. The street is absoluately quiet!!! Rare in central Paris. Third, the WIFI works flawlessly also not always the case. Fourth, our room was pin drop quiet. Fifth, the A/C was cold and quiet without rattles or weird odors.
What is there not to like?

Very nice hotel in a good location close to Bastille metro station. Clean and spacious room.
