Service was amazing, I felt like an honored guest the moment I stepped in. I checked in as a guest of honor and they treated me very well.
The breakfast was amazing, I loved the number of options from asian to western cuisine.
The club was also great, everyone there was very friendly especially the club front desk. And staff were very attentive and took care of us in regards to our different needs. I traveled with kids and the staff helped our kids get drinks and different foods that they could not reach.
We loved this place.
1st trip to Guangzhou and Tianhe is part of the new city centre, with Grand Hyatt being on the northwest side of Huacheng Park/Square. It's location is very good, with a short walk to the river to the south, and a quick cab ride to the major malls (Parc Central, Grandview Mall) to the north.
The lobby was on the 22nd floor near the top. Suppose its for safety / security access, or maybe the architect was just having fun designing it this way.
We has 2 connecting rooms, which were a mirror image. The rooms are very large, with a small sofa and writing desk. The bathroom was very well-stocked with all possible amenities.
The bathroom had a very unusual layout, with the shower stall in the centre of the room, surrounded on 3-and-a-half sides by glass. It took a bit of puzzle-solving to slide and shift doors and curtains to close off for privacy, and makes walking around a bit of a maze, especially at night when the lights are off. There was a half-sized bathtub, which made no sense, one can only immerse fully seated with legs fully curled up.
The included breakfast at the Market Cafe was the winner. After crossing the interconnecting sky bridge between the 2 buildings, it takes up a whole floor with a triangular layout, with the food in the centre and tables and seats all around the perimeter. The bakery and pastries were at the entrance, with the Chinese food options toward the right and Western options to the left. Even after 4 days' stay, I didn't manage to try all the offerings once through, there were so many choices and most of them satisfying.
Would be back again if I needed to stay in this area.
Hotel e antigo, mas ainda esta bem conservado.
Inglês dos funcionários é fraco, principalmente no cafe da manhã e restaurante.
