Room was basic but everything we needed
Would not bother with breakfast. Went at 8am, fruit was nearly run out and never got topped up. Juice was gone and they didn't have any more. Chips because they didn't have hash browns. Messy tea and coffee station. Didn't clean tables down very fast. Let the whole stay down.
Everything was great except for some of the staff

Fridge was VERY noisy kept waking us up with loud noises. Both shower and sink drains need cleaning as they drained very slowly
The TV options. They weren't working 28 weeks ago and still aren't.
Very comfortable, providing everything we needed. Very convenient for everything in the city, being an easy walk to the centre.
TV awkward to use, couldn't tune it to RNZ. A separate radio in hotel rooms would be good for radio listners.

It was cold and the windows being open on a very cold and windy day wasn’t ideal.
The bar is pretty drab really but the food was okay. Breakfast was passable.

The hotel itself was flawless. Great location from where we needed to be, very clean room, had everything we needed, great shower water pressure, no complaints about the facilities at all.
Oh my God this ginger hair lady at reception was the worst encounter in a hotel ever. She should not be working there at all. When we arrived my husband asked about the parking and she gave the grumpiest answer. She has such an attitude, doesn't smile at all, doesn't give a damn and she's absolutely rude and horrible to deal with. When we checked out she just said "nothing to pay, see ya". Worst customer experience or guest experience in a hotel, motel ever! She really should look into a job where she doesn't deal with guests, customers, clients or patients. I mean I'm really sorry to say these things, she might have had a bad few days but still, if she's not well then she shouldn't be working.
Rooms were good, my family loved the shower, bathrooms a little worn out but still clean, rooms average size for a hotel, beds were comfy, TV’s didn’t really work well were a little outdated, good location.

The location was fabulous - close to the main shopping area and the inter island ferries. It was easy to find and very convenient to walk around. The staff were lovely which made the check in and out process very easy.
The pull out couch was not very comfortable and a small space for 3 people.
wasn’t a fan of all the marks on the doors and walls and the very hidden deposit fee that took me over an hour and a half to find.

Our room was right next to the lift so we heard the lift moving up and down all night, very noisy.

The breakfast and restaurant staff. Everything was run to empty, I went to get juice, and it had 2 glasses in it, she noticed and put another two glasses in, there were people after me with still 45 minutes of service left! The hot breakfast was underwhelming and tasteless, and run too low. All the utensils were crusted with food. It was not welcoming, tasty or in any way inviting. Felt like we were a nuisance to the waitress. Not a good experience.
Could not get remote to work, changed channels on the tv itself.
