Poor quality breakfast, safety problems with stairwell, ice machine not in proper working order

Good location

Cons:

No ice machine on 7th floor. Used the adjacent stairwell to climb to 8th floor, only to discover that every single exit from stairs except at ground level were locked. The concrete walls blocked phone signal. Very unsafe if a fire breaks out. Took elevator to another floor, only to discover that the ice machine was empty.

Breakfast was not up to the standard of a $300/night room. Potatoes were cold, sausage and eggs Benedict were a quality that I would expect from the frozen food section. Hilton did not provide food quality commensurate with the price they charged.

I won’t prioritize this place for the next time.
Cons:

I didn’t like when I said to the receptionist I wanted to change to another room because it was not convenient and he refused it. So I was so disappointed at that moment.

Pros:

Clean, confortable room, well serviced. Good location for McGill University and centre ville. Close to Jazz Festival site.

Cons:

The breakfast would be better as a buffet rather than restaurant type. But service attentive.

Cons:

tried to cancel 1 days 2 weeks in advance and could not cancel so had to pay for a day we did not use.
I have warned people to be careful when booking at a Hilton because of this and they have changed where they are staying.
