Great Location - Miserable Reception Staff
Pros:

Location is fabulous, easy to get around Olympic Park as everything is within walking distance.
The valet was very helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Reception staff were unfriendly and incredibly slow at checking in. Unable to pay for our accommodation with cash as it is a “cashless venue” which we were unaware of prior to checking in… but then we were charged a card fee/surcharge. If that is your only option to pay for a stay then remove the surcharge fee.

Friendly front of house staff, exceptional service, perfect location for our needs.
Pros:

Front of house staff and bar staff were exceptional.

Cons:

The housekeeping wasn’t so good. Over our 4 nights we found the bed was made unevenly and sometimes pillows still on the floor. Water was replaced daily but as we’d brought glasses from the water cooler downstairs to the room, these glasses were left on the table beside the fresh water. Coffee pods weren’t replaced daily. We had to ask for that to happen.
We used the gym facilities. Some equipment a little tired. The C2 row erg needs urgent maintenance. Sounded like the cable was going to snap at any moment. We did note that with the concierge.

Great proximity to Engie stadium and Olympic train station.
Pros:

Bed was very comfortable, room was clean and well maintained, coffee facilities were great.
Chris on the reception desk was great, referred to me by name (John) and had an outgoing personality which I would think is essential for working on the front desk.

Cons:

There was an issue with the room door lock on the morning I was leaving. After going back and forward to reception I was able to access my room, but it caused a delay to my departure. I would have thought that electronic door access locks would be part of a routine maintenance schedule, so this shouldn't happen.
The breakfast buffet was adequate but uninspiring and availability of coffee wasn't easy.
