A nice hotel with an amazing massage from Nisi but a terrible restaurant
Pros:

The location was very good and if it hadn’t been torrential rain the pool looked great. The reception staff were very helpful and moved us rooms as our ground floor outside area was very wet.
The room was clean and well equipped.
The best thing was the massage. Nisi the masseuse was fantastic. Very professional and friendly. I had the best massage I have ever had. I just wish I could have another . Thank you Nisi. You turned a miserable wet afternoon into a great experience.

Cons:

The corridor was very echoey and when at 1am a toddler was running along it for about 5 minutes , screaming, it was very noisy and woke us up.

Sadly though, and. the reason for the low scores was our appalling restaurant experience.

We waited ages to be served even though the restaurant was not busy. We waited so long the waitress came to apologise. After ages my food eventually came but not my husbands. It was not good with very little pork and mostly rice but I had eaten what I wanted before my husbands appeared (and I’m an extremely slow eater)

. When we complained the waitress said there had been a mix up with the orders and apologised.

When my husbands did appear, the fish was ok but the veg was cold and shrivelled. It had obviously been sitting waiting. My husbands did appear complained and the waitress offered to heat it up but the veg was already spoiled and we didn’t know how long the heating would take. Reheating fish is never a good idea. He therefore said he would eat the fish but under all the circumstances did not intend to pay for the meal. The waitress agreed and also offered a free glass of wine. However, she returned to say the management had overruled her agreement. She could take it back or he had to pay. My husband said take it back as we were not prepared to pay. He therefore got no food that evening. When I asked what they would do with the food as it was a waste I was told the fish would be served to another diner !!!!! I couldn’t believe it.
I was then ill in the night. Perhaps my pork had been reheated.

95% of the Staff were awesome....the other 5% not so much
Pros:

Most of the staff were lovely (95% of them were fantastic)and genuine,especially Asinate in Housekeeping and Toro at Reception.
It was nice to be treated kindly even though we weren't of the fairer tone.
The fish & chips was top notch!
Hot beverages were lovely!

Cons:

The cleanliness, customer service ,food & facilities provided weren't consistent.
When Asinate cleaned up everything was clean and all facilities were there but when it was someone else we could feel the grime on the floor and as we climbed into bed.The bathroom door had stains upon arrival,I had to wipe them.as I had a 2 year old.
The 11 days we stayed at Novatel, we found the staff of Indian decent at Reception were least bothered to greet us or speak to us (mixed family of 3)and there was a Caucasian looking male staff also who seemed angry or bothered when we would arrive or leave on a daily basis.
The food we ordered during our stay had an off smell to it....ingredients like the tomatoes,chicken & lettuce had gone bad but was still being used....everything else was great.

Exceptional
Pros:

Loved the facilities, we enjoyed our stay so much. Staff was so friendly and buffet breakfast was great loved the roti and curry we had. Room service was so fast so bonus points there.

Cons:

My room was far from the entrance but it was good exercise so i dont have any complaints.

Pros:

Location was good

Cons:

When people come for travelling they are tired and want to sleep and get good rest. The cleaners start rolling their trolleys around 7.30/8am and shout across the hallway chatting and slamming room doors they clean and their phones keep going off almost every minute.

Pros:

Staff we very welcoming! Buffet breakfast was great. Parking on site was great as well. Comfortable & very clean- thank you to the staff whom kept our rooms clean!

Pros:

The team is so friendly, smiling all the time and on hand to support you through your stay.
Breakfast was so lovely. Great options to choose from, and the team always made sure it was getting topped up. My son loved the chilli. Fresh fruit was enjoyed.
When we would come out to eat, we would enjoy the view. It was cold to me, but the kids loved hopping in the pool nearly every day.
The fried chicken and chips were awesome; it felt like I was eating something made in NZ. Liked the little shop there, as we could buy chips and ice cream we are familiar with. The township around the place is so lovely.

Cons:

Shower pressure in the bathroom but I believe this is a problem everywhere

Average stay with good scenic beauty.

Scenic Beauty

Cons:

They do not give water in the room. Water is basic need yet it is not given complementary. The water facilty kept in common area is a floor down to walk and take.

The breakfast is also same each day !! Food options are limited.

Pros:

Located 15 min from Suva city centre on the bay, but without any beach access. Service came mostly with a smile. Breakfast and other food services were rather limited in variety and quality. Fitness centre had dysfunctional equipment and erratic aircon, spoiling the experience.
