Good size room.
Do Not Disturb sign keeps falling off the door. Do Not Disturb sign fouls the lock and prevents the door from locking from inside the room.
Breakfast staff abrupt and sharp.
Unhelpful abrupt and impolite manner when reporting, by phone, a missing bag. left in the room
.
The gentleman on reception was so helpful
Bigger towels
Beautiful location and excellent outdoor hot tub both my partner and I enjoyed!
The rooms were slightly dirty, a little dirt and mold in bathrooms. But nothing majorly wrong.
The staff were highly professional. Their interactions clearly showed they cared about the customers.
The bathroom. The shower leaked out of the hose to the handheld shower head. The holder for the handheld shower head was broken so the shower head was wedged behind the riser rail. The knob that controls the plug hole cover was also damaged. Finally, there was only towel in the room.
The indoor and outdoor jacuzzi was great.
Have to pay for robes and they weren’t in the best condition.
Pleasant evening meal.
One member of staff was receptionist, barman, head waiter, and general runabout. He did well.
Breakfast was poor in that some elements had run out and not been refreshed.
There was a power cut at about 10pm on the second evening of our 2-night stayt, so next morning no air-con (it was very hot), no light in the bathroom, no shower, no kettle, no wi-fi, and toilets wouldn't flush. Obviously the power cut was outside the control of the hotel but no effort was made to communicate about it. There is no escaping that the power cut did colour our experience on this visit.
The location was amazing 👍
My room, it was very noisy, i think I was near a pump
Guildford Manor Hotel far exceeded our expectations. From the minute we turned into the long driveway with beautiful grounds, excellent plantings and arranging of flowers and trees we knew we had arrived somewhere special. When we met reception it got even better, The staff member was very professional and at the same time friendly. The entrance foyer is spectacular and it coincided they were playing the Wedding song that our daughter and husband had chosen for their wedding in Australia. The owner carried our bags upstairs (we had a lot of luggage as residing in Australia and holidaing for 6 weeks) We were greeted with a spacious room air conditioned for the heat of the week In England. After driving through beautiful Surrey villages to get here this was the icing on the cake. We relaxed in the grounds after a lengthy drive and admired the layout of flowers, quiet spaces to sit and the general beauty of the gardens.
Our room was advertised to have a garden view and it did not. We thought the blinds were down to keep heat out. However when we walked in the gardens we did not mind so much as maybe other rooms do not view the gardens.
The outdoor pool is amazing
I’m a vegan and the food choices were a bit limited
Location, pool area, Gym,
Towels, not enough staff,
Beautiful well kept grounds. Relaxing outdoor spaces, spa pool.
Dated decor in bedroom. Needs a refresh. Thin towels.
I booked a room with garden and pool view but the room they gave me had a view of the car park only plus was smaller than the one I booked.
When I complained they said that they could move me but it wasn't ready as it hadn't been cleaned and they need to find a cleaner, This was 6.30 pm, they didn't offer a discount.
Location and evening meal
Breakfast served from 07:30. this is too late for most business travellers, as usually need to be on the road by then.
BUT, when i decided to squeeze in a 07:30 breakfast, at 07:30, the breakfast staff told me that the cooked breakfast would not be available for a further 15 minutes.
so i had to leave without any breakfast.
so , in fact, breakfast actually starts at 07:45, and it's £15
Location and grounds were lovely
The room was Grubby, over looked motel looking rooms and car park, not hot water for night or morning showers. Over sized bed for small room, bed throw was heavily stained
The room was reasonably clean, the staff were very nice. We had a good view and big windows that opened, which was nice.
The spa and pool area were filthy, except for the outdoor spa. The changing rooms were disgusting and there is scum floating on the water in the indoor jacuzzi. Everything seems a bit disorganised and understaffed.
