Very clean, peaceful, and comfortable place. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious.

Had to find accommodation due to Heathrow shutdown, only hotel for miles, took what we could but wasn’t great.

Cons:

Paper thin walls, could hear everything! Rooms very dated and decorative throw and curtains were disgustingly filthy and stained.

Staff were lovely. Public areas were clean. Food was good quality.

Cons:

People were smoking in their rooms and my room smelled of smoke There were many many workmen some of whom were standing shirtless smoking out of the window. I was approached by a random man for a lighter as I was eating my dinner alone in the restaurant. It didn't feel safe for a solo female business traveller.

Pros:

Good location, 35 minute walk to reading festival, comfortable bed, clean sheets, kettle and tea/coffee, hot water and good water pressure

Cons:

The room we were in was quite smelly (damp/mould), bath kept dripping which left stains in the tub and drain wasn’t the cleanest.
