Pros:

We were there for just one night. The beds were comfortable and we had a good night sleep. The room was clean too.

Cons:

The facility is old, it felt like i am at a hotel in 1990. The room, washrooms, facilities everything looked old, worn out.

Location is great. Beds are super comfortable. Breakfast room is bright and clean. Carol keeps food and coffee fresh and hot.

The extremely high sided tub. Being a senior with some flexibility issues, lower tubs would be nice..

Check in and out easy, quiet stay.
Pros:

Loved the Breakfast, amazing!!! Very qiet and comfortable.

Cons:

Housekeeping very poor. When we checked in in our room the ice bucket was filled with garbage from previous guests. The garbage wasn't taken out even on the day they made the beds. Asked the room service specifically if we could please have 2 shampoos since they were very tiny, barely enough for 1 person, didn't get it. Carpet absolutely disgustingly dirty, big stains and seemed never have been cleaned.

Cons:

The breakfast was terrible. The gym was a joke, with hardly any working equipment. My room smelled terribly.

Room was big so we didn't feel like we were piled on each other.

Cons:

The breakfast sucked. Microwaved cheese omelettes and microwaved sausages or waffles (thank God for waffles) every day. Plain oatmeal, cereal or apples and the usual bread /bagels. While that seems like great variety, it's fine for a day or two, but shake it up! Change it every other day. Made a longer stay harder to save money on meals when we desperately wanted a change in breakfast.

Motel experience for a hotel price

The location is pretty good

Cons:

If you want to pay chain hotel prices, but get a cheap roadside motel experience - this is a place for you. It's worn out, run down, and outright unhealthy. Besides the carpets with permanent stains, scuffed furniture, and doors, we had a smell in the room. I was wondering where its coming from, but once we turned up the AC it became clear - it was blowing the sour stench. If you don't know - its from festering bacteria inside it, from it never being cleaned. Made me feel ill for a full day. Had it turned off for the rest of the stay. Imagine Nanaimo in August with no AC, and the windows had to be closed because the road that is right in front of them is very active and very loud 24/7. So yeah. After asking the staff for a different room - they said "it is what it is, we are fully booked". Amazing experience. 5 days of vacation in a year and I was dealing with this for 3. Thanks, Ramada.
