Lovey and relaxing with great food.
Pros:

Everything! We stayed in the same room we had been in previously, despite being in the town centre it was quiet. Due to the hot weather we had a fan in our room which was nice. The staff were friendly and very accommodating and the breakfast we had was great. Would highly recommend and we will probably stay here again on our next visit.

Enjoyed the stay but room for improvement
Pros:

Lovely old building in a great location with close by public transport facilities.

Cons:

Very steep stairway up to our room (Room 10). We managed but there was no mention of this before arriving. Bit of hitch with cleansing of the room and also a long wait for breakfast on one occasion during the three day stay.

Central location with free parking but hotel in need of refurbishment
Pros:

Central location in town. Free parking onsite

Cons:

Hotel is very tired and needs redecoration and upgrades. The room we had was ridiculously hot ( granted we were in the middle of a heatwave ) and air con is desperately needed in our changing climate. All of the public areas are in need of refurbishment. The staff were all pleasant and hard working but there appeared to be only three or four staff present so we waited almost ten minutes before someone appeared at reception and there were long queues to get served at the bar. Breakfast had no buffet at all just a menu to order from with no ‘continental’ items available. Had the full English breakfast which was cooked to order and very nice. I think the room prices are high for the standard of hotel this is

Lovely friendly hotel
Pros:

Lovely spacious room, spotless and speciality teas and cafetiere with ground coffee and fresh milk in a small flask. Staff really friendly and helpful and beautiful breakfast in the morning. One of us is a vegetarian and for the first time my sausages were really good quality not the normal quote or frozen cardboard ones, well done chef.

Cons:

There was nothing I didn't like
