Superb hotel. A real treat x
Pros:

The location is superb and the staff are excellent. My room (8) was very comfortable and I felt relaxed. The food was excellent and the pool a nice bonus. An oasis of specialness … so grateful to have been here. Thanks Team Soar Mill x🩷

Views were incredible. Location was fantastic.

Cons:

Room was dated, leaky shower, very dirty fan in the room not that we needed it. Bed was very soft like no springs. Very isolated and food choices limited.

Lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff, dogs very welcome
Pros:

Beautiful quiet location with a National Trust sandy cove just 10 minutes walk away. Very friendly staff. Very accommodating for dogs so be prepared to share your breakfast and dinner with many of them in the dining room.

Cons:

Although the staff were very friendly and helpful, there were several occasions when orders were lost or forgotten so systems seem a little disorganised.
The food was good but the menu was fairly short so a wider choice would be welcome after a few days.

Idyllic South Devon location for a beach break near Salcombe. Absolutely have to go to the beach!
Pros:

Amazing location stunning views and just a short walk down to the beautiful beach, not busy at all and perfect to spend the day (just note the tide better to go early). Overall the hotel was great, the breakfast was the best I had all summer holidays and restaurant v good food for a hotel worth eating there for a night definitely. Pretty special place would recommend

Cons:

Room a little small but was fine very appreciative they were able to accommodate our 3 young children.

Pros:

Staff were lovely, the area was beautiful. I took my 16 year old son, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We had no problems at all and the steak is delicious, also the Devon breakfast was lovely. We did travel to Hope cove not far away and really enjoyed the locals singing songs and the family fun weekend was on, I recommend that for family groups as there's loads for the kids to do.

Cons:

Im fit and healthy but if you cant walk up and down very easily you may want to stay somewhere else, we went to the secluded beach and its about a 10 min walk, there's some cliffs you can get to the top of aswell and thats very high so once your up there the veil is amazing its just getting there. If your into hiking you'll be in your element but if you dnt it may not be for you.

Terrible
Cons:

We had to leave early as the room was musty and damp, all of our clothes were damp , the room had an awful smell and the bedding was very damp.
I believe the room had toxic spores as after sleeping in the room on day one I had breathing difficulties and severe headaches. When I reported this to the receptionist she did not react as if this was something she had not heard before. She did not offer a change of room or anything to help , so we cut our stay short and I am trying to report this to yourselves. Please contact me for further information.
