The staff we're really efficient at returning messages from the booking site. They helped me navigate a few things and were generally really helpful. The location is fantastic, 3 minutes walk from Paddington station which is a g8 central hub.
The location was excellent
The shower was almost unusable, such a poor water pressure that you couldn't rinse the shampoo out of your hair.
The towel rail fell off the wall repeatedly.
The kettle and coffee maker couldn't be used as the lead didn't reach a socket.
The mind boggles how it is rated as four stars.

Location was perfect, staff were all polite and helpful
Lift was broken, not great to climb to 3rd floor with luggage, selected this hotel because it had a lift. Shower tap fell apart and wouldn’t turn off so I had to reassemble the screws with nail file to turn it off.
Very good air conditioning made the room super comfortable in the heatwave

Early check in and location was good whilst the superior king room on then first floor was a winner.
No wi fi code issued and the door to the room was sticking. The tv was also purely internet with no terrestrial signal.
The location was really good!
The AC’s didn’t work well - room temp was 28 Celsius even after keeping it on for hours, when I told the receptionist that it’s not really working she didn’t even bother to check and just said it’s working fine.
Like where’s the hospitality? Anyway, given the heatwave, it was a rather claustrophobic room to stay in. Thank god I was there for one night only. Wouldn’t recommend getting the lower ground floor at all.
Great location, great AC (in the heatwave!), helpful friendly staff, comfortable bed. If you plan to be out exploring all day then this is a cost-effective solution.
There was half an iced coffee in the fridge when we arrived, and a press-on nail on the carpet. The room was extremely small (no wardrobe!) and did not look like the pictures. If you plan to spend time relaxing in the hotel, this is not the hotel for you.
Location is amazing - a 2-minute walk from Paddington station. The staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful; I was able to leave my luggage with them before check-in and after check-out. The room was tiny, but enough for a short visit.
If you are staying for more than two nights, the single room is probably too small to store any luggage. I only had a small backpack with me, so it was no issue.
AC worked during the heat and room was bigger than expected.

Staff were really lovely, approachable and helpful! As someone who doesn’t stay in London that often I did have a few questions and the staff were really helpful!
My only niggle was when we went to check out at approx 8:45am there was no one on the desk, whilst I understand situations happen where staff are needed elsewhere I think I would’ve been nice for them to have a box or something similar where you could safely put your room key, rather than leaving it on the desk.
Location was amazing, right near Paddington station which made it very easy to access all of London
Unfortunately a lot of issues in the room- the safe didn’t work leaving no secure place to store passports/valuables
No tv remote- had to go to reception twice and still unable to get a tv remote, so didn’t have one for the duration of stay
Extreme difficulty opening door to room
The female working on reception was no help to any of these issues, her answer was simply “I don’t know” or “I’m not really sure”
We required reception staff to open our door to our room every time with a fob due to how difficult it was to open the door with the key.
Very unfortunate for a hotel in such a good location, many improvements to be made
The air conditioning was almost non existent and therefore it was almost impossible to sleep.
