Rooms very overpriced.
Pros:

Nice, light breakfast room.
Lots of space.
Lots of good coffee.

Cons:

Mediocre breakfast.
We had avocado on toast. So much vinegar in avocado we could not eat it.

Pros:

The full English Breakfast was very good,
The location was central. Lewes is very hilly . The hotel is uphill from the station. The compensation is the view from the dining room which is lovely.r

Cons:

The stairs ! But, we understand why there is no Livy and it retains the character of an old coaching inn.

Pros:

Location, room and breakfast was great! Staff were really lovely! Bed was super comfortable and shower pressure was very good. Salt's for the bath was a nice touch.

Cons:

The entrance to the deluxe rooms wasn't very deluxe and there was a loud air vent outside our rooms but it sort of became white noise. Our bathroom didn't have any table or shelf to put all our toiletries bags on.

Pros:

작은 도시다보니 기차역이나 다양한 가게들과 가까우면서도 작을 마을 특유의 평화로움이 있습니다. 펍이다보니 저녁시간에는 북적이는 사람들로 활기찬 분위기가 있다면 아침식사 시간때마다 창 밖으로 나무와 새들을 보며 조용하고 여유로운 시간을 즐길 수있어서 좋았습니다.

Cons:

긴 비행 후 첫 숙소였고 지치신 어머니를 위해 욕조가있는 제일 큰 방을 예약했는데 첫날부터 욕실 바닥에 물이 내려가지 않아서 큰 불편을 겪으셨습니다. 욕조라도 있었다면 샤워부스 대신 사용했을텐데 욕조가 욕실이 아닌 침대옆에 따로 나와있어서 씻는 용도로 사용하기에는 어려움이 있었습니다. 크고 아름답게 꾸며진 욕실이 제일 마음에 들었는데 이런 문제가 있을줄은 몰랐어요ㅜㅜ

저는 조금 떨어진 숙소에 있어서 다음날이 되어서야 이런 상황을 알게되었구요. 늦은 밤 낯선 나라에서 이런 일이 생기다보니 엄마와 이모 두 분 모두 너무 놀라셨습니다. 방으로 물이라도 들어갈까봐 수건을 다 동원해서 늦은 밤 내내 닦아내셨더라구요ㅜㅜ 문제는 직원분과 청소해주시는 분에게 이야기를 했으나 그날도 다음날도 같은 상황이었죠. 약품을 부었다고 하는데 관광을하고 돌아와서 확인해보면 하수구 뚜껑 위치도 그렇고 제가 이것저것 해보다 나갔던 정리안된 그 모습 그대로였고 물을 틀어보면 상황은 같았죠. 결국 같은 라인에 비슷한 빈 방이 나오고 나서 방을 옮겨야했습니다.

물을 틀자마자 차오르는 수준이라 욕실 청소를 했다면 몰랐을리가 없는데…..어떻게 이런 문제가있는 방을 배정해주었을까? 첫 날 문제가 생긴 이후 먼저 욕실 상황에 대해 물어보거나 적극적으로 해결하려는 모습이 안보였어요. 어머님도 어쩔 수없다고 하시고 저도 여행중에 기분 상하고싶지않아서 긍정적으로 생각하려고 했지만 사실 기분이 상했어요. 잘꾸며진 숙소에 비해 문제에 대처하는 방법이 아쉬웠습니다.

오래된 건물이 가진 아름다움과 작은 마을의 평화로움을 느낄 수있어요.

Cons:

최근에 리노베이션을 해서 오래된 건물치고 시설이 깔끔하고 잘꾸며졌으나 샤워부스에 문 대신 유리칸막이만 절반 있다보니 씻을 때 조심해야합니다.
