A bit of background. We are a family of three, two adults and a 7 year old, who have previously only done Turkey all inclusive 5* style holidays. We booked this trip through TUI as an all inclusive package deal with the idea of exploring during the day through excursions etc.
The hotel reviews did start to dip after I’d booked and on the run up to the holiday I was extremely nervous about what the hotel was going to be like.
When we arrived at the hotel it was clean and well kept. We arrived approx 12 and on check in we were told we couldn’t have our all inclusive wrist bands or access the room, after a long days travel we were pretty disappointed by this. We grabbed our swim kit and tried to make the most of it by the pool. We eventually got our wristbands at 3 and the room at 5. The room was more like a small apartment block, without a kitchen, it was clean, spacious and well looked after.
Whilst we were there we did find it difficult to get information on the local area, public transport and trips. The queues for reception and the excursions were always long and quite often you’d be in one queue then told it was the wrong one. The hotel runs free shuttles into Monopoli but this isn’t advertised and you have to ask. As a family of three it was disappointing that all excursions were 4 people minimum. That limited us into what we could do as we needed other families to join in. We did the trip to Matera & Alberobello then a separate trip to the caves. This could be a European thing but for the cave trip a 7 seater car came for 8 of us an I was expected to share a seatbelt with my daughter for an hour round trip.
As I mentioned at the start we are a family used to 5* Turkish resorts so we were a little disappointed with the limited snacks, bottled water, ice creams etc. they are available but they come with an additional charge. The food at the hotel buffet was great. Simple, limited Italian food but fresh, well presented and good quality. We also ate at the Apulian restaurant, this is a very late seating for young kids and at 10pm dessert had not been served. However the food, drinks and staff were amazing.
The private beach is worth booking. It’s small and you need to take change to use the shower but being able to snorkel and see the fish was 10/10. The pool is fine, nothing worth writing about and the water quality could be improved.
I didn’t experience any of the evening entertainment but the things we saw during the day were interesting and kept my daughter happy.
Other things worth mentioning. Adults are entitled to a half day spa pass, we didn’t use it so I can’t comment. The site is large enough for kids to take a small scooter. The staff generally don’t speak great english unless you go to reception, not a problem for us and I don’t really expect them to have to. Lastly the bunnies! There are bunnies that live on the site. They are absolutely adorable and this made my daughters trip. Every morning and evening she was out looking for them to stroke. I can’t believe I hadn’t read this before we went but it was a great surprise.

So ultimately ignore the bad reviews. If you want to go and see a beautiful area of Italy with your kids and stay in an all inclusive resort then I would recommend this hotel. The surrounding areas are stunning so if you do go be sure to get out and explore.

Schöne Anlage mit viel Grün. Das Essen und der Kaffee haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Der feste Sitzplatz war vorteilhaft! Das Restaurant il pugliese haben wir ausprobiert und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Der ältere Herr dort leistet ausserordentlich guten Service (Michele..?).
Das Personal im Hauptrestaurant ist freundlich. Von den Baristas ist uns Claudia positiv aufgefallen und die Dame, die morgens Kaffee zubereitet.
Die Zimmer waren gross, bequeme Betten.
Kleine, aber Schöne Badebucht.
Die freilaufenden Hasen und Katzen waren süss.
Die Fitnessgeräte draussen.

C'est confortable, il y a de l'espace au niveau des hébergements. C'est calme... sauf si la chambre est proche du théâtre... l'animation finit après 23h. L'équipe de l'animation était jeune et vraiment sympa. Les enfants étaient contents de faire les animations.

Nasz pobyt w hotelu Monopoly był fantastyczny i z czystym sumieniem możemy go polecić każdemu.
Na ogromny plus zasługuje przede wszystkim obsługa – wszyscy byli niezwykle uprzejmi, uśmiechnięci i pomocni. Kelnerzy wykonywali swoją pracę na najwyższym poziomie. Świetnym rozwiązaniem były również przypisane stoliki do śniadań, obiadów i kolacji. Dzięki temu nie trzeba było szukać wolnego miejsca ani stać w kolejkach – wszystko było doskonale zorganizowane.
Jedzenie było rewelacyjne i bardzo różnorodne. Każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Codziennie dostępnych było wiele dań mięsnych, kilka rodzajów makaronów, świeże owoce oraz pyszne desery. Do obiadów serwowane były także lody. Wieczorami dodatkową atrakcją był grill przy bufecie z przygotowywanymi na bieżąco potrawami.
Na uwagę zasługuje również organizacja posiłków. Po śniadaniu można było korzystać z przekąsek przy basenie – dostępne były między innymi naleśniki i pizza. Po obiedzie również czekały dodatkowe przekąski, takie jak burgery i pizza, dzięki czemu praktycznie przez cały dzień można było coś zjeść.
Prawdziwym hitem była kolacja tematyczna poświęcona Apulii. To była prawdziwa uczta – ogromny wybór lokalnych przystawek, tradycyjnych dań i regionalnych specjałów. Wszystko było przepyszne i przygotowane z dużą dbałością o szczegóły.
Baseny były czyste, zadbane i regularnie sprzątane. Tak samo cały teren hotelu oraz pokoje – wszędzie panował porządek i wysoki standard czystości.
To hotel, w którym naprawdę czuć dbałość o gości. Świetna organizacja, doskonałe jedzenie, profesjonalna obsługa i fantastyczna atmosfera sprawiły, że były to jedne z naszych najlepszych wakacji. Z przyjemnością wrócilibyśmy tam ponownie
